I know Buick must be giving him a good deal for him to have had a Buick bag for so many years, I am also sure there are contractual agreements that depict what brandings he displays and where he displays them but a the end of the day he is surely the one calling the shots and must have at some point been asked by Nike to use a Nike branded bag and he would have had to say no??? Maybe Buick got there first and contraced him into the bag deal for X number of years?

How has TW done more for Nike than MJ? Eventually that may happen, but Nike tripled sales on the back of MJ. Sales are up with TW onboard, but not tripled. But hey, I'm not complaining either, Nike stock has doubled in 3 years.

We tend to put our blinders on here, because we're all golf nuts. Golf is not nearly as popular a recreational sport at Basketball is. Not to mention, MJ has his own line of casual wear.
Nike is the #1 sneaker manufacturer in the world. Yet, they only have a toehold in the golf market, I think I read that it's only 1%!

The Bag has nothing to do with a club or clothing contract. Usually it is a piece of the club contract, but some players opt to get separate 'sponsors' for their bag, like Tiger and Michelle Wie.
