I just got my rocket tour fairway cover today.  I was very impressed with the customer service I received as I had to call because I wanted to change my order.  The cover arrived promptly and it looks great.  IMO they are much better looking than the other options.  I am going to order another one for my driver.

Exactly what about them is "old man"? Is that because Jack Nicklaus used them since he was a young man and still does? Maybe it is because the Ryder Cup players use them? Please explain.

I understand what he is saying.  Its just personal preference.  I don't think other brands of knit headcovers look as nice.  The rocket tours IMO have a old school look with a modern flair.

JK, I am an old man but wondered if I can keep my CG headcovers. LOL Seriously I had to order a replacement one due to club head size change and they called me twice to see if they had the order correct. I think I have had one set for 8 or 9 years now.  The other set I bought 3 years ago, black and red nice looking IMHO but the competition is getting serious. In a way they are old school but I am an old school kind of guy. ;-)

My vote is for Ju Ju.  Fast and quality work.  Much better than rocket tours and I would say the same quality if not slightly better than Jan Craig.

I could be wrong but I haven't seen where anyone has mentioned flaming golf pom headcovers! If not, check these out! I've had 2 of them for approx 2 years and they held up wonderfully.

This describes my experience with Rocket Tour EXACTLY.

I ordered a driver headcover and one of those skinny sticks.  After my driver headcover had a hole form, I figured that it must've been because of my Superfast's weird head shape.  Then, a hole formed on my skinny stick as well...and the head on my hybrid is not even close to being large.

I'm in love with the whole color thing though,so I'm trying to save up some money to pick up some Jan Craigs.  I know this thread has been around for awhile, so I'll be sure to drop in later to compare the JCs to the RTs.

I do have a Rocket Skinny stick on my hybrid. I like it, but it is not as thick as the Ju Ju. Ju Ju's are easier to get on and off of the driver too.

I was not sure about getting knit headcovers, but I ended up getting a set from Ju Ju.  Her prices are very good considering that they are customized to what you want and handmade in the USA.  I will be getting these in the mail shortly...

I'll weigh in on this one.

Jan Craigs are great.  I have had one in the bag for as long as I can remember, several years in any event.  The quality is top notch and they are a true classic.  I happened into the one I currently use second hand, so I don't have any experience with customer service, lag time, etc when ordering direct from Jan Craig.  Nevertheless, a great product and when I need another three wood cover I will order a Jan Craig.

As for Rocket Tours, a nice product that I also use.  I have had a "skinny sticks" cover on my hybrid since they first came out.  I recently ordered another one as I may be going with a two hybrid system.  As has been mentioned before on this site, the Rocket Tour quality definitely has improved since they first came out.  After several years of use my original cover still works and only has a few small holes in it, but it is definitely not as high quality as the one I recently received.  My newer cover appears to have a higher wool to cotton content (I can't confirm this) - if not that, something about the construction seems more substantial.  I will be interested to see how this second cover wears over time, but at first blush it appears to be an improvement in quality.   Nice to see in a day and age where almost everyone seems to be cheapening products to help the bottom line.

For me, it's Jan Craigs on the fairway woods and Rocket tours on the Hybrids, and it will probably stay that way.  The Jan Craigs are like a wool sweater your Irish grandmother hand knit, thick, high quality and have the look that they will last forever.  Rocket tours look like any other headcover out there, and the quality is more than satisfactory.  With RT, you also have your headcover in your hands a few days after you order it which is nice.

Both great products . . .

I have Rocket Tours now and have liked them quite well..  They work great and 2 of my 3 have held up great with no signs of wear.  I did get a small  hole in my 3-wood cover but a phone call to Rocket Tour had a new one in my hands a week later.

That being said...I don't like the logos at all.  I'm just now finalizing my order with Ju Ju for some replacements.  Cost is going to be just slightly more than Rocket Tour but it is quite fun going through the process of designing them exactly how you want them.  Excited to try these out.

wow....people said Ju Ju was fast, but this is crazy.  I finalized my order with her on Tuesday and my headcovers are ready to ship today (Thursday).  That is just unreal for custom specified headcovers.  Can't wait to see them in person.  I have green Rocket Tours now but have just tired of the logo and wanted something a little more custom.  These turned out exactly as I had hoped.

I bought some rocket tours.  I thought they were great, even though a hole developed within a couple of months.  I got some custom Jan Craig's for Christmas.  There is no contest, Jan Craig wins hands down in quality and looks as well.  For the moment, Rocket Tours seem like a mistake.

I currently have a rocket tour driver head cover and it only lasted a few weeks before holes started to form. My next head covers will definitely be a different brand.

So far I'm liking my Rocket Tours.

What was really cool is that they shipped the dang things two hours (SERIOUSLY) after I ordered them. Ridiculous. Ordered at 10 AM, shipped with tracking number just after lunch.

They are more commercial, not as custom as the Jan Craigs, but they are still cooler and more stylish than the same OEM cover everybody in the world has. I saved roughly 20-25 dollars per cover though, with a discount code so that was a big help.

If they fall apart within a year or two I'll think about Jan Craigs, but $55 a pop is outside what my wife would let me spend, LOL.

Sorry for the old thread bump.
