I have the newer Rocket Tours, and they are a very high quality cover. The Jan Craigs are great if you don't mind waiting to get them. I only went with the Rocket Tours because they were available instantly.

The Jan Craigs are thicker and can make for some cramped quarters in the carry bag.  That's where the Rockets shine.

But in a big ole' honkin' staff bag, Jan Craigs all the way.

Jan Craigs are more expensive and take longer to get......but they're more custom.  If the price and lead time are not an issue that would be the way I'd go.  I personally right now have a set of Rocket Tours on my bag.  I didn't want to spend the extra dough on Jan Craigs and I wanted them right away.  They're nice covers too, I have the newer styles ( argyle, tassel and victory stripe skinny sticks).  I've had them a month and I just noticed today when I got back from the course my driver headcover, which is the red/black argyle is already developing a hole in it.  I'm going to call them next week and see if they'll take care of it for me.  Other than that, so far so good with the RT's.

Jan Craigs are more than a touch on the dear side; but the Rocket Tour ones always look a bit anorexic to me... and I can't stand that number 'tag' thing that's stuck on them.

I have sets of both Rocket Tours and Jan Craigs. Both are very good head covers.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Jan Craigs are a higher quality head and are priced accordingly. The red and blue set I have looks great on a Ben Hogan staff bag. The drawback is cost which is commensurate with the materials and quality.

The Rocket Tour's only deficiency is durability, especially the driver covers dealing with 460cc driver heads. The first driver cover I had shredded in one season. It's replacement has held up much better.

If you plan to use them with a carry bag the Rocket Tours are clearly easier to fit. the Skinny Stix are great for hybrids. I have a red Ping Hoofer with a Bucky Badger and drunken W on it that I use for travel that looks great with red and white Rocket Tours.

If you want durability and quality, go for Jan Craig or Como Come

If you want them now and don't care much about the durability issue and are on a budget, get the Rocket Tour. The Rocket Tour head covers are very nice looking, but the aren't durable compared to Jan Craigs and Como Come.

I just had this dilemma. I have wanted to order the Jan Craig's for about 3 years now, but the new Rocket Tour Victory Stripe really looks good. I want a driver, fw and 2 hybrids so I knew the cost would be high. I ended up ordering the JCs and I know they will be better quality.  But I may still get some RTs down the road. Who knows, maybe I will buy some used RTs here :)

I just ordered 4 rocket tours on thursday and got them today (2 days)! Driver, fw, and 2 hybrids. I dont have any experience with any of the other headcovers, but i couldn't pass on the buy three get one free promo, which I think is dead now. Initial quality seems to be good and as far as the knitting and design i don't see anything wrong with them, they seem to be very sturdy.

Get back in 6 months time and tell us if they still are durable and sturdy

Rocket Tour's are fine, just not made in the same high durable quality as Jan Craigs are  :)

The new Rocket Tour's are not like the older ones. They are nice and thick, and hold up very well.

I don't think durability is an issue with the rocket tour's anymore.  Their new stuff is twice as thick as their older versions, especially the black victory stripes that I just got.  i get asked about them every time I play

got my jan craigs off bst here.  LOVE them, SOOO much easier to put back on my driver and 3 wood when they are in the bag.
They have been very durable, and I haven't treated them the best.  Have to remember to take them off when its raining...
Only complaint I have is the dirt that gets collected on the inside, just have to woolite these puppies to make them new again.

Rocket Tour's. Durable enough, and in the odd case that I should ever lose one, I can go buy another one and it would still be cheaper than Jan's.

Jan Craigs - more customizable and better quality. WRT the delivery mine arrived in UK within two weeks of placing the order which I do not think is slow by any means.

Jan Craig or www.classicheadcovers.com (very good quality and a little bit quicker shipping)

Rocket Tour is :bad:  don't like the "Rocket Tour" on the sleeve or those hideous tags

I own Rocket Tours and they are fine.  No durability issues whatsoever.  Price was $29 for a driver cover and I won a 3 wood cover as part of a drawing with Rocket Tour.

Personally, I think that Jan Craigs are a little too pricey...$53 for a 460 cc cover compared to $29 for a RT.  So, if money is no concern, then do what you like.  If I was a little less concerned with money, I would try the Jan Craig's.

I have had my "older" RT's for 1 1/2 years now and there are no rips or tears and they have not lost their shape. I use a 460cc driver also. I walk just about every round.  I take them off when I get home and set them on my work bench. I don't think durability is an issue unless you really don't take care of them.

I have a set of 4 Rocket Tour's. Had them for over a year and they are just like new. I've never tried the Jan Craig's.

The only thing I don't like about them is the Rocket Tour name embrodery. I wish they would either eliminate it or make it much smaller. Or they could pay me to advertise for them.
