Here's a link to President elect Obama golfing at Olomana in Hawaii yesterday.

Anyone know what kind of clubs he uses?

Hopefully the New job will allow him to get some decent clubs. looks like he is playing:
Titleist DCI Oversizes from like 92'
the driver looks like a 300-360 series Taylor Made
and his 3 wood looks like a Supersteel, I wonder if that baby has a bubble shaft cause that would be awesome.

Let me say he also needs a golf make over. looks like he is ready for a safari with those cargo shorts he is sporting.

I hear there is vacancy in Obama's cabinet for a golf swing advisor.

Why don't you apply?

Unless it comes with a paid membership to Chevy Chase, I'm not interested.

Cargo short...good thing he is playing crappy courses cause the nicer courses are going to laugh at those shorts...they are almost as bad as jeans on the course.

I think the secret service forced him to wear those to help him "blend in". Also the old clubs are standard SS issue. They think of everything you know. Playing left-handed was a master stroke of disguise.

Obama definitely needs some new clothes. If he's going to wear shorts he's gotta get some shorter socks.

and good call, PTBOsimon, those do look like old Titty cavity backs. I think my brother still plays the same clubs.

MILO, what does Gordon Brown play to? is he a solid player?

Cheers,
Carlo

Good one, Carlo. I am trying to rid myself of the image of Brown playing golf but it's stuck in my head like an unwanted melody.

If he did play I would put up a round for him somewhere cool so he could go and chill out for a day. A round on a nice crisp Winter morning would do him the power of good.

Happy Christmas to you.

I guess mentioning Blago-Gate wouldn't be constructive...

A Very Merry Christmas to you and a prosperous New Year. I'll be playing Grand Cypress on 12/27, 28, and 29 and then to Hilton Head for a New Year's Eve round at HarbourTown. Yippee!

I played Olomana Golf Links on December 5th when I was in Hawaii for business and took took a whole lot of pictures. The course has a nice layout, but it doesnt drain well after it rains there was a lot of casual water on the course. I was playing a rental set and the putter really stank. Also, I wasnt used to the bermuda greens as it was my first time playing on Bermuda Grass greens so it took me a while to get used to. I shot 49 on the front and 42 on back, to end up with a 91, not my best round. Click here to view the pics

I'm actually intrigued by Presidents who play golf. I didn't vote for the guy, but how cool would it be to play with the President of the United States? I guess my golf game is one thing I can be better than him at

Looks like some variation of the TaylorMade 500 series driver, and a mixed bag of Titleist irons. The ones in his hand look like DCI-Oversized Blacks and the ones in the Nike bag look like 981s by the cavity bump. The fairway looks like a Supersteel by the darker copper color.

Why don't you apply?

The application on the website says you may be subject to Senate confirmation. Too much trouble.

"Mr. Smith, did you alter your stance on Dec 6th at the National Country Club?"

"Senator, I do not recall."
