I wear my glove 100% of the time I'm on the course. I'm way to forgetful. I tried for a while to take it off for putts but noticed myself leaving it off during tee shots. It gets comfortable and you stop noticing it. Sometimes even my glove isn't enough to stop my clubs from twisting when I swing my lower irons. Then again I'm about a 17 handicap soooo...

I leave my glove on the whole round. That's cause I'm new to golf and never even thought of taking it off for shots around the green. Might give putting a try with and without a glove and see if I notice a difference mentally or otherwise next time.

I always take my glove off to putt, not that leaving it on could make my putting any worse though...  Posted Image

I take my glove off after every swing.  Also, no glove for chipping or putting.  Reason being, the average temperature here in south Louisiana is 62 billion farenheit so unless you have 4 gloves with you, wearing it the entire round will result in a soaking wet glove by the tee on #4.

I take the glove off for shots of 100 yards and in. Feel like I can control the ball better. May just be psychological but nevertheless I'll keep doing it!

I do the same in bed.  Take off the glove for the money shot.

I use to take my glove off to putt since you get more feel of the putter, however for the past few years I haven't taken it off, mostly because I'm so focused on reading the greens and how I'm going to putt, mostly thinking, how fast is this green, how far should I putt this, which line would work best, I sort lose track of even having my glove on throughout my entire game.

I would say that depending on your preference, if you feel that you putt better with the glove off I would say to do so, but if it doesn't make a difference to you in feel and the percentage that you make putts with or without the glove, then you could still play either way. I think this is more of a preference to a golfers feel for the putt.

Been golfing for more than 45 years. When I started had to go to the course and find balls if I was going to play. Which means there was no money for a golf glove. Over the years I've tried them. And have found a glove to be more of a hindrance than a help. Come to think of it I don't believe I've ever played a complete round of golf wearing a glove. Even a nine hole round.

I take my glove off on all putts and most shots inside 50 yards, it's a feel issue for me.  I also take my glove off between each shot to keep it dry as long as possible.

For me it is all about feel and feedback from 50yds in. I don't know there is any significant difference in performance, but I would be uncomfortable with it on.

My glove is off for anything on/around the green. Putts, chips, pitches, greenside bunker shots.

Never took my glove off to putt, and don't really understand it, but it seems many do...if you do take your glove off, drop a post here and explain why--is it just "feel" or is it more than that?

I started doing it when I was a kid, just cuz I saw the pros do it.  Now its just never gonna change.  Side benefit - cuts down on the non-sexy glove tan.

I mostly take it off to putt, every now and then I forget and leave it on... not sure it actually makes a difference.

I take it off for putts, chips, and short irons.  The closer to the pin I get the softer my swing, thus I like the bare grip feel.  Makes me feel like I have more control (yeah right).
