I'm looking for getting a new golf bag for Christmas. I was surfing through the net trying to find some nice looking stand bags. The Taylormade TMX stand bag caught my eye. I think it looks great, but I'm wondering if the white will get dirty easily. If it does it would be a major turnoff. Just curious to see if anyone has had prior experiences with this bag to see how you like it.

Thanks,
Lane

I had one of those bags when they first came out as I LOVED the look of it. Well after one month I got rid of it as it really isn't golfer friendly. The material they use on the straps slip off easilly on some of the newer style cotton shirts (no idea why?). The biggest problem for me is that the space in the bag is very limited. It only had 4 pockets (small) and if you carry allot of stuff around like most gofers do it isn't enough room to put everything. The clubs bumped into whatever I had in the pockets and wouldn't go in all the way. I love the look of the bag but it couldn't do what it's supposed to do so I bought a Ogio which has pockets galore but doesn't look great. If you decide to get it anyway don't worry about the white, it was easy to clean off any dirt.

It looks great, but is a terrible "bag". It's really hard to get clubs in and out, which was my biggest gripe. Not very user freindly, but looked cool for the 1 day I had it.

TM has revised the top layout on that bag for 2009 to a 6 way top which should make it work better. Lot's of people loved the old bag but found the 8 way top just didn't work very well from a club loading perspective. You can see the new one here: http://www.tmaxgear....-stand-bag.html .

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I was happy to hear about the dirt not being a factor, but I don't know if I will buy it due to its other qualities. Has anyone had experience with the Taylormade R7 bag? It looks pretty nice as well.

I had one of the R7 Phantom bags and it is much better than the TMX. Lots of pockets and fairly user friendly (unlike the TMX)

Have you looked at Ogio? I never thought I would but I have to say it's very good!
