I was just at a Garage Sale and the guy was marking up a set of clubs because he said that the head covers were Jan Craigs. I was wondering if they had any distinguishing marks that would let me know if he was telling me the truth about them.

Thanks

There should be a label when you roll up the sleeve of the headcover.

I've had several sets of Jan Craigs but none had labels in them. One thing, Jan Craigs are 100% wool yarn and are hand-knit; some others are not. There are not a lot of competitors at Jan Craig's quality and price point.

By the way, although Jan Craigs are the "gold standard", I have heard of a new competitor-- Travis Headcovers. They are also wool and appear to be a good alternative. I have not read any reviews of Travis' products, just looked at the website. I'll look into it when I am next in the market for headcovers.

Hi
I'm the general manager at Jan Craig Headcovers and we always sew our label in our driver covers.
If you would like to be 100% sure it is our cover you can email me a photo and I can tell by looking at them.

OK, I'll concede that maybe the labels have disappeared from my JC headcovers (but that also could be the case with the set you are looking at, I suppose). Nevertheless, I DO have three sets of JCs and there are no labels in any of them (anymore). :D

Check out the web site. Great looking headcovers and their giving 20 % off until Dec. 8th.

I have Jan Graig covers now, which are great but, I think this will be my X-mas present from me :D

I have a 3 wood, 5 wood and 2 hybrid head covers from Jan Craig - all custom made to my exact specs - and they have no label what so ever inside or outside on them.
