Can anyone tell me the playing differences between the voodoo svs7 and diamana blue 73s. I'm looking at the 909d3 and tossing up between the two shafts. I currently use a 905r  9.5 with diamana blue 73s and i'm thinking of getting the 909d3 10.5 with the voodoo svs7 and hoping for higher launch less spin.

personally, i tried BOTH shafts in a 9.5 d3 this weeknd, and found the BB to be too whippy. I liked the voodoo alot more. I tried both in stiff.

My ss is 100-101 just as a reference. I also tried the BB in the rapture v2 and felt the same whippy ness. not my cup of tea.

I wish the voodoo came in .350, id shove it in my burner. i like it alot.

Did you find the voodoo launched a bit lower than the blueboard?

Just a side note, you can shim .335" shaft to fit a .350" head.  Any clubmaker will do it no problem.  Unless you don't trust that process (as some people don't), but I personally have had several things done like that with no issues.

As for the two shafts...aren't they both "made for Titleist" ones?  They're both going to play different from the aftermarket versions if that's the case.  Sorry I can't be of help with the two specifically in question though.

Shafts would be the real blueboard and the real voodoo.

oh... then if real voodoo... then disregard what i said as i treid the made for Titleist voodoo and made for Titleist BB.

though i did talk to the shop clubworks guy who said this voodoo is pretty darn close to the real voodoo. Much closer than other proprietary shafts typically.

And i do know i can shim... just not really sure how i feel about it. ive heard stories going both ways. push comes to shove, i will shim one, assuming someone wants to sell me their made for titleist voodoo in stif!f!!!

As you can see from my signature I decided to go with "Real" BB. I personally preferred BB over the "real" voodoo as well. But this is just me because I didn't get along too well with Aldila shafts but Voodoo is quite ok. Stock Voodoo seemed quite good but stock BB sucks... Sorry to say but really sucked due to too much torque and mid kick. But it will fit people who are looking for that kind of profile.

The Tour Exotics XCG-V (hot driver by the way) comes stock with a 66g Voodoo with .350 tip.  The TE rep told me that Aldila does make a .350 tip Voodoo but has not updated their website to reflect it.  I'm not sure if it is available to consumers or just OEMs at this point, but worth a call to Aldila if you are interested.

10.5 909D3 w/ the Titleist Voodoo X was perfect for me. I like the weight and the torque. I had around a 1 degree AoA. My fitter didnt have a 10.5 D3 but the 10.5 D2 lauched at the perfect angle but spun a tad too much. They told me the 10.5 D3 would bring the spin rate down and keep that launch angle
