To me, I like softer colors and I'm only really particular in what my shirts FEEL like against my chest, arms and back. Other than that, call me crazy but it's just clothes. Wash them, iron them and go play.

Greg Norman I get from the outlets in Myrtle Beach when I go there, and Nike, ooooo man I get at the golf course where I work for incredible prices!!!!
Dri-Fit nike polos cost me $25-$30 MAX!(usually only pay $20) With our course logo (very nice course)
Nike golf hats (love my TW nike hat fitted) $10 each
Nike Dri-Fit shorts about $16-$20/pair
Nike Dri-Fit tour glove $10
And last but certainly not least, Nike TW 2009 Golf Shoes (retail at $230-$270) I PAY $135!!!!!!!!!!

I care more about how the clothes feel than how they look.

After trying the J Lindeberg shorts and shirts at a store I really liked the feel and went searching for stuff online. I was able to score 3 shorts for around $60-65 each and 2 of the Pique polo shirts for $40 each, everything brand new. It is more than what I usually pay for this type of stuff ( I am more a $40/30 range guy) but as when I buy PUMA which I have loved forever, they serve dual purpose since I can wear the polos with jeans or put on the shorts to go out. I never buy anything remotely close to MSRP and also nothing "exclusive" for golf.
I digg my PUMA stuff but after this, I am a JL convert. Also I thought that I will have a problem feeling comfortable with the fit since a lot of times these brands are really narrow. I am a 32-33W guy mostly depending below the waist fit (lots of cycling) and for Puma I buy 34W since the 32W is a little too tight below the hips but surprisingly for JL the 32W fit perfectly....

Curious why would anyone care what I wear or care to take such a survey?

I was recently challenged to count my golf shirts. I had 103 when I counted them. Bought 3 more over the weekend. I have no real allegiance to any brand. If I like the material and the look, it does not really matter whose label is inside.
I wear shorts in the summertime in the 100*+ heat and most of my shorts are tan/khaki/stone or some lighter color which is easy to match with most of the shirts.
Once it turns cool, I switch to slacks. I don't like the Docker or chino style slacks. I like wool blend slacks both in light and dark colors.
Only socks I wear with shorts are white FJ rolltop socks.
I don't wear short socks with slacks. I normally just wear a thicker dress type sock with slacks.
Yep...I am a clothes/shoe ho and the stuff has to match.
