The problem with Under Armour is that they don't use an anti-microbial in a lot of their garments, so you end up smelling like BO after you've worn the shirt 3 times.

Why no love for Callaway on the list? I really like their shirts. Other than that, mostly Nike dri-fit for me and Adidas shoes.

I like to look nice.  I don't need the latest and greatest name.  JL is a status symbol and Ian Poulter dresses like a clown 99% of the time.

To me, I like softer colors and I'm only really particular in what my shirts FEEL like against my chest, arms and back.  Other than that, call me crazy but it's just clothes.  Wash them, iron them and go play.

I used to wear FootJoy shoes.  Then a few years ago I started wearing Adidas shoes and thought they were more comfortable; so I began buying a lot of Adidas golf clothing: shirts, rain gear, shorts, etc.  Over time, most of my golf clothes have become Adidas.  Although I do have a few items from Cutter & Buck, Ashworth, Scott Cameron, and Mizuno.  I dress nice on the golf course, if it's not warm enough for shorts, I wear slacks.  I wear mostly matching solid colors.

Nike and Adidas for the most part. I have a bunch of Lacoste shirts but only wear them to the course if I am playing a cheaper muni as I do not like to tuck them in. I have two TW shirts that I bought at Nordstrom Rack for $39 each and while they are nice, I prefer their regular dri fit shirts the most. Adidas Clima cool shirts are great as well. Have not tried the Under Armour's yet but plan on picking up a few this year.

Give me a nice fitting polo shirt in a normal color, a decent pair of pants that have cuffs that somewhat fit over my shoes, a normal belt and a regular pair of white or black golf shoes and I am good.

I do not get the JL or other tighter fitting Euro clothing trends. Looks rediculous on most people, Camilo is the only guy I have seen that can pull it off. He has the body type and the game to wear clothes like that. The large belt buckles look rediculous too unless you are 16-20 yrs old.

When you go to play golf you should look like you are going to play golf and not to a club somewhere in Southbeach. Just my oppinion.

I ONLY wear Greg Norman or Nike.

Greg Norman I get from the outlets in Myrtle Beach when I go there, and Nike, ooooo man I get at the golf course where I work for incredible prices!!!!

Dri-Fit nike polos cost me $25-$30 MAX!(usually only pay $20) With our course logo (very nice course)

Nike golf hats (love my TW nike hat fitted) $10 each

Nike Dri-Fit shorts about $16-$20/pair

Nike Dri-Fit tour glove $10

And last but certainly not least, Nike TW 2009 Golf Shoes (retail at $230-$270) I PAY $135!!!!!!!!!!

I buy Nike dri-fit shirts....and that's about it.  I don't care what colors they are and I don't care about matching since any of the shirts go w/ pretty much any shorts/pants I have.

I care more about how the clothes feel than how they look.

After trying the J Lindeberg shorts and shirts at a store I really liked the feel and went searching for stuff online.  I was able to score 3 shorts for around $60-65 each and 2 of the Pique polo shirts for $40 each, everything brand new.  It is more than what I usually pay for this type of stuff ( I am more a $40/30 range guy) but as when I buy PUMA which I have loved forever, they serve dual purpose since I can wear the polos with jeans or put on the shorts to go out.  I never buy anything remotely close to MSRP and also nothing "exclusive" for golf.

I digg my PUMA stuff but after this, I am a JL convert.  Also I thought that I will have a problem feeling comfortable with the fit since a lot of times these brands are really narrow.  I am a 32-33W guy mostly depending below the waist fit (lots of cycling) and for Puma I buy 34W since the 32W is a little too tight below the hips but surprisingly for JL the 32W fit perfectly....

Peace

I like the stuff from Fairway and Greene, Ben Hogan, Como, and Bobby Jones. All on the expensive side but I got a friend and get a couple shirts a year from him dirt cheap, could never spend $160 on a shirt. I do like some of the Nike stuff too.

Didn't contribute to your survey for a few reasons... I wear Bobby Jones with some Tehmama and UnderArmor; ECCO World Class shoes.  "Yes" my cloths match and my belt's from http://www.wehmeiers.com match my shoes.  Pull overs, covers and all harsh weather gear is Zero Restriction.

Curious why would anyone care what I wear or care to take such a survey?

I'd say I probably pay more attention than most to how I look on the golf course. I guess my staples are Lindeberg and Polo. I don't really lie the Nike / Adidas style of clothing, I'm not really in to technical fabrics (same goes for my choice of Lindeberg stuff.)

I do tend to go to a lot of high street fashion shops for other stuff too though. I don't really like golf shorts, so I tend to go with taylored walk shorts from snow/skate/surf stores; I've been wearing dickies shorts on the golf course for about 15 years now, and I've never found anything I like the look and feel of more. And for trousers I'll go to non golf manufacturers too, I absolutely love Ted Baker dress trousers. Accessories are the same, H&M, Levi's that kinda stuff (wow, do you thin my girlfriend's clock that I'm gay?).

As for shoes, most of the time it's Ecco World class, though I think I'm going to have to try and get a couple of myjoy icons when they're out.

Just bought a new pair of shoes...that makes 18 all total. I usually have my belts made. I like the more "western" style belt with silver or silver/gold buckle, double keeper, and tip. I have 8 of those.
I was recently challenged to count my golf shirts. I had 103 when I counted them. Bought 3 more over the weekend. I have no real allegiance to any brand.  If I like the material and the look, it does not really matter whose label is inside.
I wear shorts in the summertime in the 100*+ heat and most of my shorts are tan/khaki/stone or some lighter color which is easy to match with most of the shirts.
Once it turns cool, I switch to slacks. I don't like the Docker or chino style slacks. I like wool blend slacks both in light and dark colors.
Only socks I wear with shorts are white FJ rolltop socks.
I don't wear short socks with slacks. I normally just wear a thicker dress type sock with slacks.

Yep...I am a clothes/shoe ho and the stuff has to match.

i understand the poll was made a while ago but Oakley was overlooked. They have an amazing golf line but since Oakley has a strong hold in snow and motocross with the goggles and glass, most "traditional" (aka old snobby golfers) turn their noses up when I'm show up in an Oakley shirt with tats out.

Oakley, Callaway, Nike for me

edited for grammar

This Interesting Topic got me to thinking, so I went to my closet and counted my golf shirts, I already knew that I was an addict,  but I had 98, let me repeat that, 98 Golf Shirts. All Adidas and Under Armour and some still have the tags on them. Who has more than that?
