the glove should fit tightly like a second skin. Dicks has a glove size fitting device in-store, I used it and I was a 5 (one notch below ML).. so I use M regular FJ StaSof and its fits nice and snug.

if ur glove doesn't fit tight that would defeat the whole purpose of the glove in the first place
why??

I don't wear them so I don't really know, but i have always been curious. I played baseball in college and batting gloves are tight, but nowhere near as tight as golf gloves are.

Golf gloves are designed to provide grip and prevent slippage from perspiration during the swing.
In order for them to do their job properly, they should be worn tight, like a second skin. This in turn provides feel. And feel alllows the golfer to adjust tension in gripping the club to his or her own comfort level.
A sloppy fitting glove ( any glove which is not at least snug fitting) inhibits feel and can promote gripping the club too tightly, which leads to tension in the forearms, which leads to any number of swing problems.

Taylor Made Stratus Glove Medium- Large Cadet perfect fit. I can use the regular Medium-Large with no issue also. Love the snug fit though

dude you forget to add a cadet option...so many like me have shorter fingers and the only way not to have sloppy ends are to have a cadet..i take mine in med.

really tight.  I'll go so far as to adjust finger length if incorrect.  It is surprising how much product variability there is from one glove to the next, same size, same brand.  Just turn the glove inside out, sew to correct length, trim excess away.  The thunb is what is usually messed up.

I prefer a loose glove because if it's tight, the pressure of my fingers when gripping the club makes it rip easier.

It's interesting looking at the break down from the voting.  Ive worked in golf shops for many years and M/L is and has always been the size that would sell out soonest.

Tight fit all the way.  The worst feeling is when the glove wrinkles in the fingers and effects your grip.  IMHO

I hate loose gloves. They twist then then drive me crazy. Especially the thumb.

My left hand is just a hair under 7.5" from wrist crease to middle fingertip which puts me at medium, but I prefer to use small Footjoy WeatherSof for the tight fit. They stretch out a little bit anyway.

I like my glove to be a titch less than a second skin....and I find Taylormade gloves are the only gloves that fit my hand properly.  I'm gonna miss the Burner gloves now that they no longer make them.

just thought i'd add a note on this. I was at roger dunn getting some more gloves yesterday, and the medium sta-sofs they had fit fine (very snug) with the exception of the thumb (a little too much material there). as a result i bought the small which is super tight but it will stretch out. I measured from wrist crease to top of middle finger, and I'm just at 7.5", for reference.

I've got a decent set of mitts.  I go with Titleist permasoft in size ML.  Start tight, then stretches to be what I consider to be perfect.  Going with L just doesn't give me the right fit/feel.

My pet peeve on the golf course is wearing a baggy glove.  It has to fit as tight as can be.

I wear a small glove and it stretches a bit, I can palm a basketball so I don't have small hands but I don't have much "meat" to my hands, they're not bony, but there's no "meat" to 'em that would make me wear a larger glove, I use Sci-flexes for competition if I have a choice, and Titleist Perma-soft for playing, and Weather-sof for range use. I usualy have 3-5 gloves at a time, competition glove eventually becomes casual playing glove, playing glove becomes range glove, range glove becomes trash.

I have a Medium-Large FJ WeatherSof. I like the tight fit but it has stretched a little and is starting to bunch a little. I hate that feeling. Next time I'm going to grab a Medium and see if it's more to my liking.

For the most part, men's L. I wish there was an opposite to the Cadet. Like slimmer than regular through the palm with longer fingers. That would be ideal. Gotta love the FJ StaSofs

I used to go with a Stasof large, but the tips of my fingers would get loose with usage. Cadet large I could not close. XLC is the one for me.

Tight fit here. Similar to most leather products, they break in with a bit with use.
