After searching for months , I finally found the beast.  1000 cc driver.  I dont know all the specs but it came with the Golfsmith stiff shaft and is 47"  total length. 11.5* loft.   Its HEAVY !   I can only get 92-94 mph head speed ( about 10 mph less than my normal driver).  My brother in law got 114 mph out of it.   Its fun and makes alot of noise.  I made a video at Pine Meadow golf range in Libertyville , IL .  Check it out.  Comments welcome.

Ya they used to sell just the head as well at golfsmith.

Nice commodity item but that's about it.

I've heard they're such a novelty, that when hit the shaft usually snaps just above the hosel...

I want a lefty tough.

Obviously a novelty, but does it actually go anywhere?

I hit it about 20 -30 yds less than a normal club.  Just cant get the head speed.  Its does have a big ol sweet spot :good: .

They have had problems with the shaft snapping.  Its a 69 g UST shaft with .370 tip and 3.8 trq.  I guess if you get that head goin 120 mph , the impact to the ball is too much for the shaft.

i thought about buying that just as something to get a laugh with at the range, but GS was out of them when I wanted one. so i bought the 650CC Bang head with a 50" shaft on it instead. Snapped the shaft the first time I took it out, got it reshafted, and hit some HUGE drives with it. It too is VERY LOUD. just something to have fun with from time to time. Great video by the way

Oh yeah , all the water at Arboretum !  With the size of the lakes out there , the slope and course rating should go up :good:   I drove by Palatine Hills course yesterday and the course is fubared. Whole fairways underwater.  I think they all are around here.  Stay dry and hope they drain so we can get back out there soon !
