I have a Ping Hoofer that is white. Was thinking about scotchguard. Any thoughts?

I have the all white hoofer with black piping... DO IT!! Had it for more than a year and still looks great! Don't quite know what you mean by the zippers but mine are all still perfect. One coat, let sit for an hour, than give it another spray and you're good to go. DO it in the garage or outside, scotchguard has a strong odor.
