I never followed back up.  But, without going on and on, this driver is the hottest thing I have ever hit.  I just love it.  SO glad I went with the 10.5*.  I am getting control and distance.  My d/s combo feels great.  Hitting a 10.5* head further than my old 9.5* head.
Can you tell me what 'tipped 1/2" to strong flex' actually means? New to all of this shaft stuff.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents.. Recently, I picked up a 10.5 A4 w/stiff stock matrix. It took me a little bit to get used to the shaft, but this thing is flat out the best driver I've ever hit! For reference, my swing speed is about mid 90's & my previous three drivers were '07 burner 10.5 (very high flight, good carry, little roll), '07 burner 9.5 (still too high, good carry, little roll) & an FT5 I-mix 10 N (good flight & carry, little roll). The flight on the 10.5 9015d (for me) is lower than both burners & about the same as the FT5.. but it carry's just as far and rolls out a good 15 yards further or more.
I'm now hitting drives in places I've never been before.. hitting a full club and sometimes as much as two clubs less.

I'm also a huge fan of the 9015d.  I owned both the 9.5 and 10.5 head and eventually settled on the 10.5 with a stiiff Voodoo shaft.  Been playing this combo since last fall.  What a coincidence that the new 9032LS came with a Voodoo shaft as well.

I got a chance to compare the 9015d with the 9032LS during a driving range demo day a few weeks ago and, for me, the 9015d was still superior.  The 9032LS had higher flight, more spin and less roll out.  In defense of the 9032LS, I think a 9.5 head would have been a better comparison, but I didn't get a chance to hit the 9.5 loft.

I carried a Ping Rapture for close to 2 years, but the 9015d even beat it.  I don't have a launch monitor, but I swear the ball just seems to really jump off the clubface and get downrange quick.

Keep an eye out, you can get the 9015d for preety cheap on Ebay.

You must be my twin :friends:

Almost the exact same experience here.  SS 95-100.  Fought the rights for a long time so hesitant about the open face...but it's actually less right-biased than you would think.  Stock shaft "stiff" is perfect for my SS and feels great as well!

I was going around with free gift card and saw 9015D 10.5 w/ Fujikura Fit-on! 11 SIX for $130. I was starting to have accuracy problem with my SQ TP and it was also starting to balloon. I was thinking this could be real bad that it's 10.5 and I am playing 8.5 TP. I read the review s and decided to pull a trigger. This thing is a monster. I had to make sure to tee it lower than the SQTP. It's ball flight is lower than SQTP and carried a lot more. I love the open face look too. I am in love, at least for a while. Stupid long and dead straight with smooth swing.

Thought I would add.  I have been reading info on this board and enjoyed getting info but never replied before.  I picked up a 9.5 9015D last week and threw an Oban Devotion x stiff shaft in it.  Oh my god!! The feel is tremendous (think old Titleist or 510tp) and the distance was the best I have ever seen, even on off center hits.  Its my first experience with the head or the Oban shaft but the combo is tremendous!  I just picked up an Oban Mach 4 Prototype and am trying to decide if I want to try it in this or not.  Anyone have any experience with this Mach 4 shaft?

I am a club ho, but a little in the opposite direction.  While I buy and try new stuff, I am not fast to switch for good from something working.  I kept pounding my Steel head 2 driver up until even a few years ago.  After reading so many great things about this club, I felt comfortable enough to build one.  I have the 9.5 with an Rip Alpha stiff shaft.  All I can say is everyones praise for the club is true.  Especially for the price they go for now, you can not go wrong with this head.  I hit the ball as high as anyone I have seen or competed with. I actually struggle to try and not hit it to high.  This combo for me just keeps going.  When it gets to the point all my other drivers would keep climbing, I just keeps going deep.  Unlink a lot of golfers, I pick a driver for accuracy over distance.  This is the most accurate club I have hit.

Does anyone know the length of the stock Matrix shaft in this driver? I just picked one up and it seems long for me. I thought I heard somewhere it is 46 inches, and am thinking of getting it cut to 45 , but would this screw up my swing weight? I have a nice launch with this driver when hit good, but i am worried if I cut it to 45 it will launch lower.

Sadly, the 9015D was just retired.  Don't have the SS or swing to keep it in play, but for any 'player' who can get their hands on an unused head - best mid launch, low spin driver I've played to date.  This club has been in the bag for 4 years - sad to see it leave.
