Solid ball striker.......crybaby though!! He needs to cash in a major with Tiger in the field to get the 100 percent respect he is close to needing and wanting.

Everybody rips the players on the Tour for being emotionless and answering reporters questions with mundane responses, and then finally someone with some real passion and bravado comes along (Sergio), and you're basically saying you'd wish he'd shut up. I wish there were more players like Sergio on tour, it would make it loads more exciting to watch.

well when you're in contention to win a big tourney maybe your two cents will be worth more than I don't know lets say two cents, so you're upset that someone is passionate about winning a tourney that in all honestly is meaningless in the golf world.

I wasn't aware that we, who are members of a golf forum, can't rant or rave whatever we think is rant or rave worthy without being bashed by the likes of you. Maybe you don't value his/her opinions, but he/she does. And who the hell are you? What makes your opinion so important?

Sergio used to have a bad behaviour too often, but right now he has got it over and it's nice to see a young golfer who plays golf with passion (yelling and laughing and so....) and who doesn't look to eat at McDonalds every other day.

As spanish, I am glad Sergio is the way he is and I only ask him to continue with the Scotty Cameron he is using lately........

You gotta be kidding me, for Sergio to say hes playing against more guys than the field is just ridiculous. I like Sergio but cmon thats something you just dont say...period. Thats a flat out excuse for losing, he makes that par putt hes the happiest guy on the planet. Not to mention 2 seconds later hes whining about the shot that hit the pin in the playoff. I will say though it looks like hes starting to mature...did a little better after the 08 PGA. Im starting to pull for him to win because hes exciting to watch.

What is the problem of whining when he hit the pin ? As far as i know, hadnt it hit the pin, the ball would probably have spun back quite nicely instead of leaving it long as it did.

I gotta think professionals dont care about "cool" stuff like hitting a pin, they care about being closest to the hole after every shot. Ofcourse, maybe its just me :search:

Yea it probably is just you because it was a 230 yard shot that he hit with a long iron. It hit the pin extremely hard and just went off the left edge of the green. It would have just as easily went off the back had it missed the flag stick and left him a similar chip/putt. Maybe try watching the tournament before making an idiotic statement. So as far as you know is different because in this case you really dont.

Well, why would Sergio whine if hitting the pin actually helped him? Is he a complete idiot then ? If the shot would end up further away if it didnt hit, i would think that Sergio would have been glad to have hit the pin. Maybe he is just likes to torture himself.

And as you say, it _could_ have easily went off the back, so you arent to sure yourself that hitting the pin actually helped him. Maybe you should watch the tournament again and come back with alittle more substance in your comments.
