I have a SM 3.5, but have never seen the vaporlite. I really disliked the straps, they did not fit me well. They were way to wide and slipped off my shoulders. I took the straps off of an old Ping Hoofer and put them on the SM. It is now a great bag. I really like the little handle near the top, makes for setting the bag down very easy. I am a frequent walker and really think it is a good bag after the strap modification.

I like the Vaporlite better as it has the Woode top with a putter well and the 3.5 has a straight-up 6 way top. In this day and age, I think every bag should have a separate compartment for the putter. If you're set on the 3.5, check out the Titleist X76 as it's the same bag with a MUCH better strap system.

I have the Vaporlite and love it. The Woode system is incredible and the putter well is a big bonus. I love being able to keep the woods and hybrids separate as it cuts down significantly on bag chatter while walking as the irons kind of lay nicely against each other. Two of my buddies have the SM 3.5 and both commented how their next bag will be the Vaporlite after they noticed how nice mine was. I would buy another in heartbeat.

I went from a Titleist X76 to the Vaporlite and I love it. I had trouble fitting 14 clubs comfortably in the Titleist.
There are a few annoyances w/ the Vaporlite but I'd give it an 8.5/10.

What annoyances? I currently have the Ogio Grom and i'm thinking of switching to the Vaporlite too. I want a lighter bag for when i want to walk. I don't always want to use my Clicgear pushcart.
