I hadn't noticed it the rest of the week, but today Adamonis had on a visor that simply said "TACO" across the front. Any idea what this is for? I assume it's some sort of sponsor, but maybe the man just really loves Mexican food :man_in_love:

Here you go:

http://contractormag...ement_adamonis/

"Cranston, RI, March 24, 2008 – Taco, Inc. has signed an endorsement agreement with Rhode Island native and aspiring PGA golf professional Brad Adamonis. The endorsement agreement provides financial support from Taco for Adamonis as he pursues his career in the PGA.

Adamonis, from Cumberland, RI, earned his PGA Tour card this year and has made six cuts in his first eight PGA tournaments. He will wear the Taco logo on his visor throughout the 2008 PGA Tour season.

Adamonis comes from a family steeped in golf: his grandfather taught him the game; his father, Dave Adamonis, is the golf coach at Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, FL, and his brother, also named Dave, oversees the Junior Golf Organization’s U.S. Challenge Cup.

Taco’s president and CEO, John Hazen White, Jr., praised Adamonis “as a local kid who’s worked really hard to earn the privilege to play on the PGA Tour. Now that he’s earned his place we want to help him further his career. Taco supports and applauds people who work hard, and we’re honored to be associated with Brad. We wish him great success.”

Taco, Inc., headquartered in Cranston, RI, is a leading manufacturer of heating and cooling equipment for use in hydronic-based systems worldwide. "

Maybe the visor inspired him not to lay up in the playoff. What was he thinking? He almost pulled it off, but still, at least give yourself a chance. . .

Probably thinking 2 guys already in the fairway of the hardest hole on the course. At least one of them will par and a up and down is very unlikely if I lay up.

And it has nothing to do with Tacos... I sense a typo. They must have meant Hydroponic, because the dude who named that company was completely baked.

Someone needs to stand next to him with a visor that says "TOWN"

Right. I know his brother Dave very well through playing the U.S. Challenge Cup tournaments over the past few years and met Brad at Doral right before Christmas this year. They're both awesome guys and I'm glad to see Brad playing well. He's basically secured his card for next year now which is great.

I'm sure you're right, but still, they gotta know that 99.999% of people reading that logo on the TV screen will read it as "tah-co".

Oh well...

If he had layed up, his chance of winning was likely over.

Exactly. He knew he had to go for it if he was to have any chance of winning. He almost pulled it off too. He's got my respect for at least trying.

In a playoff against a guy like Perry, I do not blame him for taking the chance. He was really close to everyone say "damn, he pulled it off!" Oh well, great experience for the guy...and I had both him and Perry in my fantasy golf for the week! :D

I guess maybe I'm a wimp, but from my understanding and from what Feherty was saying, he had almost no chance at pulling that shot off. Even if he does, he likely isn't in birdy range. I say lay up, use what was a strong short game all week, make par and make birdy beat you. But that's just me.

btw, I was rooting hard for him. Certainly didn't want to see Perry win again.

Correct. Good call. I used TACO pumps for years. Maybe some of
you "northerners" have radient "in floor" heat in your basement or house,
more times then not the pumps used are TACO.

It was funny looking though. :drinks:
