Can anyone compare the two? I’ve hit the 785 but not the Apex Pro. My main miss is low on the face - any thoughts?

I tested both.  Both are EXCELLENT....!  

If you are low on the face I would lean towards the Apex Pro '19.   Better feel and overall on bottom grove shots in my testing.  I was going to switch to the 785 honestly from '16 Apex Pros but after testing and hitting the '19 Pros I stayed Cally.   The new Apex Pros are everything you see in the reviews.     I would test them both side by side if you can, as noted both are excellent and what fits one my not fit another.

Both are great and I am comparing 8 irons with same shaft and specs.  I’ll report back. I’ll say that the Srixons are significantly less expensive if that matters

785 feel softer and more muted sound vs. A.P. 785 are almost as soft as Mizunos to me. $500 swing in price here in Canada, if price plays a factor in your choice. Found A.P. more forgiving vs. 785s too.

Interesting. There seems to be a lot more tech in the AP. Not sure how much is marketing.

I’ll second this. AP is very good on thin shots. Any other differences boil done to preference

callaway 100%.  They are legit.  For all the great reviews the 785s get they didn't impress me that much

I hit both and A.P. were softer but Z785 maybe a hair longer? AP also a little smaller in size.

I will be the different opinion here.  I feel the 785 are very consistent distance wise.  That to me is where they beat the AP.  Both are great clubs, but I think the 785s are a better all around stick.

785's "technically" should a hair long as they are 1 degree stronger then 19 pros.  I think everyone agrees they are both excellent.  I would of went 785's as noted but with trade in value by Callaway and overall the AP fit me better.  

Cant go wrong with either...!

The shafts are longer and the lofts are stronger on the Z785's vs the AP's and Pro's.

Well, that explains it then.

I had high expectations for the Z785's but honestly they were nothing special. Much preferred P760's and especially prefer the AP19's. I'd say if you want a player looking club but really need forgiving but also don't want possible "jumpers" like you could get from hollow clubs, then Z785 is your club. If you don't mind a bit less forgiving then I'd probably be in 919 Tours or AP19.

I’m not sure the JPX 919 Tour is less forgiving the the Z785.

I can’t wait to try the Apex Pros. Thinking about just ordering a club so I can take them out on the course.

There is no VS......its what you like better......simple as that

Some will pick one, some will pick other....where you fit is up to you

I compared 8 irons both shafted with Modus Tour 130s. Both are excellent and similar in appearance. Subjectively the Apex Pros feel a bit softer and seem to spin a bit more.  Distance was comprable.  Slight subjective forgiveness edge to the Callys.  More to follow as I do more on course comparisons
