FYI, I almost got taken by a counterfeit Scotty Futura 5.5m on the bay recently.  Fortunately the buyer-protection program works...I got my money back.  The giveaways... the rubber on the grip is not as tacky as the real, the serial number is etched near the head and not the grip on the shaft, and the milling on the face is almost smooth...not at all deep like the real ones.  

Just a head's up.

If it makes you feel better, mgs did a study and found people putted better with the knock off Scotty rather than the real one.

The scammers prefer the term "replica".  Fake sounds negative.
