We were at PGA superstore and my son compared the new tour series to his mizuno mp-5.  It was green with steel so similar to his iron set up.  The tour series is definitely a player’s profile but lighter, not GI..  I would say if your child hits tour series well, he can easily be moved into a player’s CB (e.g., p760, AP2, JPX forged)...

As far as MPF rating, I see the USKG TS/TS3 irons as GI based upon the description.
