From the information that has been made available thus far.... I get the feeling that these two heads (more so than others) might be very comparable in terms of performance. Was leaning towards the F9 but I think that the ST190/190G heads will look absolutely stunning in person. Could also do the fairways from either series with no hesitation. I hope that Mizuno will be offering more shaft options other than the Atmos but even if they don't, that may not be a deal breaker.

Any opinions or 1st hand reviews would be welcome.

Specs are up on their website. ST190 also comes in Tensei and KuroKage. Tbh I'm actually a bit iffy on the 190 fairways, sole reason being they seem to look a bit too big and too deep for my liking - last year's GT180 TS is 138cc! If they were smaller I'd buy them in a heartbeat. I'm yet to see one in person but from what I've watched, read and seen, it seems my worries are realistic.

Mizuno for me. For some reason not getting along with the F9?! Prefer the look and feel of the ST-190. ;)

Was off a tee or off the deck. My main concern is I hit fairway more... off the fairway, so I like the low profile of the GT180. I've watched a Mike Newton vid where he touched on how deep it is.

Off the deck.  He might have called them deep but I would take that with a grain of salt.  The face size looked very similar to my MP 650 3 wood. I had no issues off the deck and getting them air born.  The lies at the Orange county range were also on the tight side.

I saw that, too, and it also concerned me as I am looking to try these out.  He did also say he is not strong with a 3w and never has been so watching him spray it around shouldn't speak to the club itself, he is visibly uncomfortable it seemed to me.

I have hit the F9 driver and I was impressed with the performance.  The look is a bit goofy on the crown but it felt great and was easy to hit straight.  Haven't even seen a 190 in person yet but am really looking forward to it.  Haven't found anything that beats the G400 yet, so I am not expecting much, but I could be tempted to take the 3W home.

Granted it didn't really look like a whole lot of spraying. For someone not confident with a fairway he hit it pretty damn good.

I know the Cobras perform but I find that club hard to look at. Lot going on, on the crown and sole. I also donít like the visible laser-weld seam around the edge of the face. It almost makes the face look like a big sticker. I know that is the Cobra look, just not for me.

Currently game the G400 and it may stay in play this year. Great driver.

Tbere are lots of great new drivers out or coming out. Of the new ones, for me it is Mizzy ST190 or 190G, as it clearly is the best driver to cone from Mizuno for a long time. But I also would choose the Titleist TS3 over the Cobra. I think all three will go similar distances if fitted. The deep face of the TS3 is good for me. For fairways the TS2 looks good and so do the Ping 410ís. I like the Titliest adjustable hosel more than any other.

Interesting that the pros who choose TS3 for driver tend to go with TS2 for fairways. I only saw one pro at Torrey Pines playing the ST190 driver, Keith Mitchell. He was crushing it. He carried a 2017 M2 fairway wood.

Havent hit the st190 yet, although im currently gaming the st180. I hit the cobra the other day and i wasnt that impressed. Its a good driver dont get me wrong  but id rather stick to my st180(performance was about the same for me). I do think the cobras is a little higher spinning head, but not by much.

The guys on the TXG videos loved the ball speed of the F9 last week, but the ST190 gave Matt nearly the same ball speed this week along with very consistent ball flight. Interesting that they needed different shafts to optimize the Mizuno than for the Cobra last week. Ian commented on how good all of the current drivers are and how fitting the individual golfer to an ideal head-shaft combo is critical. Ian told Matt that he thought the Ping G410 might be able to beat out the Mizuno and Cobra drivers in overall performance once Matt does a detailed Ping fitting in an upcoming video.

There are so many great drivers out now that the choice seems to be coming down to cost, fitting, and personal preference for the individual player.

Mizzy seems like a little lower-spinning head, as was said earlier. Might explain the need for a bit more shaft tweaking vs the F9.

I love Cobra but the amount of hittable face surface their drivers present at address bugs me. Milled face is great, but it looks so tiny compared to other heads. Had the same visual issues since their Speed Channel days.

Ah, well. Guess I should maybe improve my swing.

I really like their videos but as they mentioned a proper head to head really needs be on the same day. Matt's swing is really jumpy right now. They don't really address it but the main spike in ball speed comes from when he really goes after one. The club head speed needs to stay the same to really test ball speed with a little consideration given to how easy it is to hit the middle of the face each time.

New TXG fitting of the ST190, they seem to like it overall a bit more than even the Cobra F9 which is impressive after the fitting video of the F9 they did. Basically, pick the one which fits your eye better and find the right shaft and enjoy:

Leaning towards the ST 190G at the moment. Despite not seeing these woods in person, I know they will look incredible from every angle. Really want that TS fairway as well.

I posted in a couple other threads that I loved the sound and look of the ST190 but I found it to sit disturbingly Open in the neutral set up.

The shop was closing so I very little time with it.  Iíll go back and mess with it and see if I canít make it more pleasing to my eye.

My locally owned shop just got them yesterday.

From what I have seen, either one of these fitted properly has to be as good or slightly just slightly better than the other.  Either way, the deal to choose, is which one do you like to look at, feel, and sound and then whats the end result hitting it getting data after a proper fit.  Interchangeable performance lends to your choice based on look sound and feel IMO.

I typically gravitate towards an open face so that is good news(for me). That preference also put the Epic Flash SZ into consideration however, the looks and sound of the Mizuno have won me over I believe.

Not sure if its OK to link to youtube etc all but I think you will really enjoy T X G's videos on the fitting with these 2 heads and you will likely start to form an opinion prior to hitting them.
  Comparisons are odious.

I saw the st190 yesterday.  It looks amazing.  I have an appointment to hit it today on  gc2.

Would love to hear how this went and what you thought..... My interest has worn off a tad, I can find nothing to complain about with my G400 so I am fighting the leftover urges to pick up an ST190.

I spent a good amount of time with the st190 today on gc2.  It’s a great driver.  It rivals the m5, flash, and ts - in my opinion. This was a 9.5 degree head.  Its a really good looking driver. Sounds fantastic.   Reminds me of the TS line.

I was hitting the atmos black ts 6x.  I was hitting consistent lower spin shots with the club. I struggled a bit with the open face - just like the m5 I tried a few days ago.  Easily fixed with hosel adjustment.

It’s a winner.  Great job mizuno.

Like everyone else I love the TXG videos, but I can't really see how Matt's swing relates to anyone except Matt.

Obviously his head speed is beyond most, but his AOA, swing path, spin etc etc are also unique to him.

It's nice to know that he hit the F9 a long way, and that tweaking the shaft made him more consistent, but I fail to see how that is applicable to anyone else.

In reality his speed and funky swing are far less useful than their other testers.
