Srixon has new versions of the Z-Star and Z-Star XV for 2019 and we need 15 GolfWRX members to text them out! The 15 members who are selected need to be able to play the ball in a few weeks when they receive them in order to write their review. Below is a little description from our article on the new balls and you can read more about the Srixon Z-Star and Z-Star XV here.

The new Z-Star debuts the company’s new FastLayer Core. The core starts soft in the center and gradually becomes firmer around its edge, which aims to enhance ball speed for maximum distance performance, while still maintaining feel at impact.

The Z-Star Series also features a new Spin Skin technology with Slide-Ring Material (SeRM), which is a urethane compound that coats the cover of each ball. The combination of technologies has allowed Srixon to use greater levels of shearing force without breaking its molecular bonds and is designed to offer golfers a golf ball that digs deep into wedge and iron grooves, increasing friction and spin, and thus, providing more control and stopping power.

HOW TO APPLY
In a post below, please answering the following.

    • City, State
    • Handicap
    • What model ball (Z-Star or Z-Star XV)?
    • Current ball used?
    • Do you agree to be part of a GolfWRX Member review thread for Srixon golf balls and add you review, photos, stories and updates?
Testers will be chosen in 1-2 weeks!

I usually do between 3 -4 layers on all grips and have started doing it for a few friends.   The alignment in the back feels great also .

I honestly don't feel like I ever grip my irons the same way.  Maybe this would help.

Tour Velvet Plus 4 Standard
I've always been a big fan of the Tour Velvet, but recently went to a different brand to look for a less tapered grip. Those grips are starting to wear, and I'm looking for a replacement for my set. This might be the grip for my replacements.

-I am currently searching for a new grip, I have bounced around from a tour velvet to a Z-Grip. I always have felt the Z grip to be a bit more comfortable. But I love the tech in the Align. So this is the best of both worlds. Hoping to get an opportunity to try this grip.

I would like to try the z-chord in standard size.

I chose this grip because first, I have been putting the golfworks ribsticks in grip for years because I couldn't find the golf pride grips that I liked with the ribs, and secondly I have played golf pride grips since I was a kid and I believe that they are the best grips in golf. Having a chance to try out these grips would be great to see how they feel up against my fabricated ribbed grips.

Midsize Zgrip align

I've never used a ribbed grip but the align has always seemed like a great concept for consistent hand placement. I've played the original z-cord off and on and prefer the firm feel.

Golf Pride is looking for 20 GolfWRX members to test either the new Tour Velvet Plus4 or ZGrip ALIGN swing grips. Each tester will receive 3 swing grips for their driver, iron and wedge.

About Tour Velvet Plus4
With research showing that more than 90% of Tour players build up their grips, Golf Pride created Plus4 Technology, simulating adding four extra wraps of tape in the lower hand. The reduced taper profile promotes lighter grip pressure for more power. Tour Velvet Plus4 offers the same great Tour Velvet feel, now with Plus4 Technology!

About ZGrip ALIGN
Golf Pride’s ALIGN Technology delivers consistent hand placement and improved clubface awareness throughout the swing with a dedicated raised ridge down the back of the grip. ZGrip ALIGN, the first full-cord model to feature ALIGN Technology, delivers a firm feel and maximum surface texture for playability in all weather conditions.

How to Apply
  • In a post below, leave your City & State.
  • Tell us which grip you want to test - model & size (both grips are available in Standard and Midsize).
  • Tell us why you want to test your selected grip.
Selection Process
Golf Pride and GolfWRX will evaluate the applications and select 10 testers for each grip model after the thread is closed in 2 weeks. Those selected will receive a total of 3 grips to put on a driver, iron and wedge. Testers are required to grip clubs themselves or at a local clubfitter.

Z Grip Align Midsize

I’ve only played Z Grip cords the last few years as they’re the only grips that work with my sweaty hands. I’ve been interested in the Align tech since it came out and have been keeping my fingers crossed it would be available someday in the Z Grips. Come on, make my day!

Z Grip Align Standard size

I used to play only the Z grip originals, then when the MCC Align came out , I gave that a try in my woods and really loved them BUT I just missed the overal firmer texture of the Z grip and grip in the wet (I find the MCC to get a bit slippy for some reason). So this grip seems literally perfect and the best of both worlds!
