I've taken some time off this past month and have only hit two buckets since before Christmas so that's my excuse. In league I started on #16 and for the next 9 holes I was +11. Multiple penalties and 3 putts made for a miserable start. Then I remembered how to  play this stupid game and played the next 9 holes in -1. Still shot +10 for the round but at least I don't hate myself.

Golf's a hard game- particularly when you need to do it for 18 holes with out screwing up.

I've got my famous 3 under on the front (6 birdies and a triple) and 14 over (doubles, triple sow cows, quad axles ... on the back to make you feel better)

We've had these type of threads before.  51/38 is my biggest front/back differential.  It happens.

Happens 2-3 times a year to me, usually it’s poor front and killer back for me though.

Want a better one?  53 - 33. And I hit the ball better on the 53 than the 33.  Had some amazingly wacky things happen on the front 9.

I mean that’s not bad, if I was 11 over after 9 I’d try and let’s make it 12 or 13 over on the back. Anything worth doing is worth doing right.

Then if you’re like me you follow up the +11 front side with a. +12 back nine. Might as well lose everything.

I feel like the later happens when you simply stop caring about overall scores and have a mind set of one shot at a time.  Kinda how some golfers refuse to look at the leader board, it just causes you to mentally grind.  I guess it depends on you as a person.

Was on pace to shoot 89 from the white tees at Whistling straits. Took a 13 on a hole hitting 3 from a free side bunker.

Shot a smooth 51 on the front yesterday then 37 on the back went out on front again shot 37  lol I hate this game.
