Looking at the forged irons, does anyone have some insight into if the 919’s are worth buying over the 900’s? Wondering if there was enough improvement with the 919’s. Thanks

I've had the same dilemma. From what I read they are basically the same. I went for 900 Forged. I also hit them yesterday( with a bad elbow, but just wanted to compare the feel) They are great.

I have both and noticed a few subjective differences. My driver SS is 107-109mph smooth tempo and 7iron is 90-93mph. Handy 10.1 trending down, playing both sets with the PX loading zone 6.0 SSX1.

Subjective
Look- Both are great and pleasing to the eye, similar top lines, with the appearance of a slightly "chunkier" head in the 919F.  I do prefer the neutral color scheme of the 919F a little better
Feel- Same...I mean identical on off center or pure strikes
On Course- With turf interaction, I like the 919F a little better as it has a sharper leading edge vs the slight relief of the 900F, this is more a preference for me
Forgiveness- On slight toe strikes the 919F does a little better job on delivering the total distance and maintaining the flight of the ball, where I like the 900F in the heel misses which are rare for me but did notice this in real grass practice rounds and warmups
Distance- Slight edge to the 900F but also with lower spin and a little lower ball flight, probably due to the 1degree turned down per club

Either way you cant go wrong and if budget is a top concern, the 900F is the winner hands down.  If custom options on a factory build are the focus, the 919F would be the pick.  Either way they are such solid designs and such a joy to hit.  Probably the best all round iron head I have owned to date in my bag.

There is an improvement. As much as I loved the 900F, they are being replaced by the 919F.

919Ts are on my radar. More forgiving than they look. Remind me of the MP5s when they came out. Great feel and very forgiving for that genre of iron. ;)

I had the 900's for a while and really liked them.  Switched to the AP2's and thinking about switching to the 919.  I think the feel is just that much better with the Mizuno's.

I couldn't agree more.  When you want "Forged" Mizuno has it down with the GF HD Forgings, so much so I just couldn't even go more than a few rounds with the P790/P760 combo set I bought before going back to my 919F/T set.  Feel and consistent results are what the to biggest factors I relate to the Mizuno products.

My kid likes the looks of the 900F, better.   Ballflight was a little shallow.  Weakened lofts to 919F specs and holding greens much better, now.  Save money and pick up the 900F.

Hit the 919s for the first time yesterday and was impressed. For me they just feel better than the 900s, but that could simply be personal preference. I actually like the look of the 900s better, but think I'd lean more towards feel.

It's worth noting that I didn't feel either one was worthy to knock my MP-64s out of the bag. I think I've stuck with those for so long because they have the feedback of a true blade but with a little more forgiveness.

I have played the 900 forged for two years and have hit the 919 forged on the range without the benefit of a trackman to compare stats.  My conclusion was that they both feel great, hit the ball a mile and can be played by a scratch handicap up to a 15.  I doubt I would play better or get better numbers from the 919 so my preference is purely on aesthetics.  I personally prefer the thinner top line of the 900 forged and the slightly longer blade length.  My miss is generally toe side so I do not mind a long blade as long as top line is thin.  In addition, the 900 forged have the best looking P-8 of any GI club I have seen.  I could easily play both and I am sure I would adjust to the 919's looks, but if my clubs were stolen today I would buy a set of 900's tomorrow.  I have owned a bunch of set of irons over the last 4 or 5 years and I love buying new sticks but I do not want to play with another set of irons other than my 900s.  It is not about the money, it is about the looks and performance they give me and the comfort I have using them.  SO......to satiate my need for new clubs I just purchased a prototype Lajosi, a set of Ping Stealth 2.0 wedges and will get fitted for the Mizuno ST-190 in a couple of weeks.
