I was recently fit into P790 with DG120 x100 shafts. The more I think about it and saw my distance numbers with the P790s, I want to get into the P760s. I found 15-20y increase in the P790 7i over my current numbers but do not want to create a gapping issues down at the wedges.

My question is, do I stick with the same shaft and just change the head to P760, or do I really need another fitting? I have limited access to a fitter in my area as they are far away and getting out there is not an every chance I get thing.

One method that a lot of fitters use is to figure out the shaft for you, and then figure out the head that goes with that shaft. So you would probably be fine using the same shaft, but you'll never know unless you test.

The shaft is not giving you an extra 20 yards.

Get the 760’s with the 120’s and tweak the lofts a little after you get them to adjust your gaps if necessary.
