I struggled to get past 260 with many driver/shaft combos recommended by fitters. I found a smt db 8* head fitted with a 48" Ultimate stiff flex shaft on ebay and I figured for less than $100, I would take a chance.
This is the longest and best driver ever. I am now averaging 280-285 and every round I get a few past 300 yds.
Anyone else find this true.

I hit the ball about 315 with a normal length driver so i have never thought about using one on the golf course but i have a 48" driver that i got off a buddy that i do take it to the range with me sometimes. I would say i hit it atleast 350 but with that distance and clubhead speed i can generate i am not the most accurate so for now, its only a range club.

Keiko,
Absolutely. There is nothing longer than the new SMT DB Plus driver head in the 450 /460 cc range, but like all pro heads expect it to flight the ball lower than off the shelf drivers. So, add a little more to your loft for anyone making their first pro head purchase.
