Advice welcome on what to do with damaged milled face, is it best to have the face remilled or can the face be ground flat for a new look ?

From a functionality standpoint, they both look fine, especially the red one. The black one is a bit harder to see how deep the nicks are, but even that one looks good. But yes, if you send them to someone that knows what they are doing, they could make them look like new. Might loose a few grams of weight depending on how deep the nicks are on the rest of the putter.

Personally, I like the looks of older, well used putters.

If the machines are hand a light skim with a mill would be your best, fastest fix.
