Bought this on Ebay awhile back, it's a Newport 2 Oil Can and it looks and feels real but it has a what looks like a gun blue finish instead of an oil can finish.  It does not have a number/marking under the hosel that would indicate that it's been refinished.  ?????

It is likely a gun blue that was misrepresented as oil can. FWIW, not all custom shop refinishes had a number under the hosel cup. I believe only Titleist marked them in this manner, not Scotty's Custom Shop.

Looks like a great putter. Other than looks, there really is no difference between the 2 finishes. Game the heck out of it.

Thanks for the information.  It has the stampings of an oil can and the shape of an oil can which is slightly slimmer than the gun blue model.

Thanks, finish may have been done by SC because it is exactly like the gun blue NP 2 finish.
