I was deciding b/w the Mizuno MX-25 with the dynalite shaft and the AP1 with the DG High Launch. The shaft in the AP1 is just a better shaft. It launches higher, then flattens out and carries further than the Dynalite. I know it is a new shaft and TT obviously improved over the dynalite. For golfers who don't launch the ball high enough (which is a huge percentage of amatuer golfers), this is the best option out there.

I completely agree - coming from DG SL to these, several of my issues with ballflight have been solved. My alternative was the Nippon NS Pro, but these seems more 'beefy' and familiar in feel. Very good option if You flight the ball low/medium.

They look like they will solve a lot of golfers fears!

Both taper and parallel. Around 116 grams for the S300 HL.
I had TT DGS300 shafts in my Nike Pro Combo Tour irons. While very accurate, I lost some distance in the shorter irons, but a lot more in the 4-5 irons. I just had the 4 & 5 irons reshafted with the TT DGS300 HL shafts. Hopefully this gives me a better ball flight with the long irons. According to TT, the shaft should still play similar to the others, just a bit lighter and the initial launch is easier. We shall see, I will hit them at the range tomorrow!
These are excellent shafts, and my ball flight did NOT balloon at all. If anything, I made up 5-10 yards in length with these instead of the normal TT DGS300 shafts. The HL S300 is a few grams lighter, but does not feel or play like a lightweight shaft. Ball flight was excellent. I am going to reshaft the 6-7 next and maybe even the lower irons after that!
So can anyone compare these to the ball flight of a Project X shaft, as it sounds as though they might be similar.
Also, for those that have gone this direction, did you lean weaker or stronger as far as flex. I like DG R400, so am wondering if I should lean toward R or 3 on these?

Any more feedback on these? I have the stock dynalite superlites in my mx-25s and I'm looking for something different. I'm trying to keep the price down by staying with true temper, but I think regular DGs may be too low. They canceled the DGLites which were supposed to be mid launch. I know these are supposed to be high launch like the DLSLs, but I've heard these are more penetrating and more of a mid launch than the dynalites. Actually maybe replacements for the Lites. Any feelings?
