In R2 of the CME, Hole 10, Carlota had a 30 foot putt from on the green. She had the flag in, and no one tending it.

Have the new rules already kicked in? Is the rule different in ladies golf? Sorry if this is a really ignorant question, but I am genuinely curious.

My only answer is that she was only intending to lag it :)

No, the new rules aren't in effect. You sure she wasn't barely on the fringe?

Absolutely sure. If you have it taped, take a look!

Just watched it. Shot to the green finishes right on the edge. The caddy has the pin out and it looks like she tells him to put it in. I doubt she’d do that if she wasn’t sure she was off the green.

I guess. But if you wind it back and look at the approach s***, it's on by about a foot (from memory. It's well on anyway). And to be on the green, only one part of the ball has to be touching the green.

By the way, about 2 holes later I saw Carlota grounding her club in a bunker. i thought I was going insane! Then I discovered that some of those big bunkers were not classified as hazards!

The whiter sand is used in bunkers. The yellower sand is used in waste areas, i.e. Non-hazards.

Sometimes it is hard to tell.  When I have done scoring for the LPGA it can be difficult to discern the fringe from the green without seeing the painted dots that differentiate.  She could have officially been on the fringe.
