Has anyone taked delivery of the DVD set as advertised?
Just wanted to know what they are like, as the only stuff i have read is the GD article.
A lot of people are saying the swing method is a lot different from GD article.

Any more info happily recieved.
Cheers.

Just thought by now people would have recieved their DVds, as they were suposed to of been sold out a while back.

No dout will take a good while to filter to UK.

I'm really keen to get hold of a copy and see how my progress is doing, as really trying to make it work.
Cheers.

http://www.medicus.c...tackandtilt.php

Medicus' website says the Stack and Tilt DVD will be available in June 2008. Well I just called and they said "Well we have shipped some and some are still backordered."
So I ask "are they in stock?" He says, "I CAN'T check to see if they are in stock or not but if you order now, in 24 hours we'll send you a notice of the status." - WTF

I was frustrated and said I'll call back. Sounds like BS to me! Basically he's telling me to order now and it'll probably be backordered. And he can't tell me how long backordered DVD's will take to ship.

These Stack and Tilt guys seem very shady IMO and Medicus have not deviated from their overbearing sales tactics. Nice work guys. :diablo:

I haven't seen the dvds or know who's on them, but are you saying Plummer and Bennent seem shady? I doubt that they have any control over ordering or shipping, blame Medicus not the instructors. Then again, maybe it's not them in the videos?

I think I will be ordering the $19.95 DVD package from the stackandtilt.com website. Hopefully it is not back ordered.

As for being 'shady', I don't think so. Plummer and Bennett are trying to capitalize on the tremendous interest that was created by the articles in GD. They want to get DVDs or books into the hands of those interested asap. Demand can sometimes limit supply and stress an infrastructure and test a Customer Service staff.

Making money is not shady.

According to the Medicus Institute Forum the first set of DVD's were made last friday and shipments were to begin Saturday or Monday. Delays had occured over marketing issues etc. The customer service branch had no idea what was going on so everyone was getting less than accurate information. There was no backordering problem!

The good news is a medicus forum member received his set of DVD's today so given they have not screwed up in other ways the dvd's should arrive soon depending on where you live.

Making money is not shady but their business model sucks. IMO, it appears Medicus is taking orders and then producing DVD's in batch so they don't have extra DVD's. How much does it cost to burn a DVD these days? I can burn a DVD-R on my Mac for $1.

BTW- it's not $19.95 anymore on the stackandtilt website.
Here's the fine print. It's gonna cost you $200 total in the end. Good luck getting your money back if your not satisfied.

"Pay only $39.95 for the first 30 days of your shipment and then you will be charged just 4 payments of $39.95 thereafter to the same card you use today. Each shipment comes with an unconditional moneyback guarantee (less only S&H where applicable) upon request for a refund and return of the product."

Having said all that, I think the stack and tilt swing is sound method. Noticing some of their guys on the leaderboard lately: Mike Weir, Dean Wilson, and Eric Axley.

Thanks for the Heads Up!!

I take back my original comments.

IT IS TOTALLY SHADY!

A bait and switch. Huge pricing stating $39.99 for DVDs with medicus or $19.99 for DVDs only on the main page. Proceed through the payment page and in the small print (as listed above) a mention of 4 additional payments!

So essentially $200 or $100. Give me a break. Maybe $39.99 for the DVDs only. It is a shame because I like the theories but that is total BS business. I expect something like that from a miracle product on a infomercial but not from PGA professionals that teach tour players.

I have lost a lot of respect for those two. I know they are being distributed through Medicus but if you put your name on something it is going to reflect you.

I paid $100. I briefly viewed the the 1st dvd. It seemed good but I'll probably do a lot of fast forwarding...Pretty repetitive with the information I saw, not a bad thing but I'm a quick learner.

Jamie just wondering if you could give us an update on the S&T dvd's that you have received? I am still waiting for my order to ship :shout: and was curious of what you have thought of them and the info etc. Thanks.

This whole ordering process with Medicus Corp. has left a bad taste in my mouth. Besides the misleading info on the web site, I've had a lot of issues with the process itself. There was no email acknowledgement after ordering and I was taken through about 10 screens asking me if I wanted to buy something else. Then when I looked at my credit card statement I was charged once for the DVDs and again for a smaller amount for some mysterious reason (wasn't really surprised after the terrible experience with the web site). I've called several times to try and have the erroneous charge removed but I keep being told to call back for various different reasons and each time the amount of time to call back is getting longer. So it will probably be about a month and multiple calls to have a charge (which they appear to acknowledge is erroneous) re-credited back to my credit card - that's very annoying. It's also taken about 10 days for the DVDs to arrive (supposedly today). Terrible impression of this company now. Won't ever deal with them again. Shady sounds about right.

barkster,

Have your credit card company take care of the problem. Tell them that Medicus hasn't taken care of it despite numerous contacts.

I'm also curious to hear any reviews of the video's actual content.

I have found with DVds or Vids in the past, you get about 10mins of quality out of an hours worth of viewing.

Would be good to get a edited version, at edited price !

I went ahead and ordered the vids from Medicus. As has been said, their ordering system pretty much sucks. I just looove how they try to sell you every other product they offer. Having to click "No thanks, just proceed with my order," FIVE times is horrible. I'm glad I actually read the SIXTH and last time, as that one was asking me if I wanted to add free priority shipping (which better mean it's here faster than 10 friggin days).

I am pretty curious about these DVDs. I actually hunted for torrents of them to no avail. If no one has posted an in depth review by the time I've gone through them, I'll put a review up for you guys.

Does anyone have the phone number for the stackgolf site? I need to call them to find out what happened to my order. I should have used the medicus site but I liked the idea of the 60 day return if not satisfied given they are legitimate?

Thanks
Dave

So far I like it, makes references to some TGM terms and filled with very good information...something that will actually help golfers
