Hi all,

If you saw my last thread, you know I have a few older clubs that Iím looking for information on, in which google wasnít much help.

I have 2 ping becu wedegs, zing and a zing 2. Serial numbers end with two letters and last letter is J. From my searching, these were assembled in Japan. Is this rare to find in the states? Google didnít have many people asking about Japan Ping clubs so Iím not sure. Note the shaft bands are red and blue instead of red and black. Not sure how well this shows up in the photos. Second shaft band says ďJapanĒ

If they are not all that rare, the fact that they are brand new (with some shop wear) makes them pretty rare at least!

Thanks for your thoughts on these. This is my first time seeing these

you can call Ping on Monday and give them the serial number and they should still have it their computer files.  Plus they may be able to tell you where they were built.

Thanks guys, I already checked the numbers with Ping. They are legit. Iím just curious if they happen to be very common to come across, or if they happen to be pretty rare to find in the states.

Thanks

Pretty sure importing Ping clubs into the US from Japan is not "very common."  The opposite I'd say.  Not sure why anyone would do that all all other than maybe some service man or the like.

I have run across BeCu wedges in Japan shops, but never really looked for them in US.  Never really paid attention if they had made in Japan markings when I saw them.  In terms of rarity, I've probably seen a couple dozen or so Eye 2/Zing/Zing 2 wedges in past 8-10 years of casual browsing at multiple shops in Japan.  So not impossible to find, but also not very common.
