I have just been introduced to the world of JDM equipment. With this said, is there going to be some new irons released soon that I should wait around for, or should I be purchasing an iron now that is already released? Thanks for the help!

My favourite irons are OnOff and they usually release (other than special editions) a new iron set every 2 years. 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017.....so I'd wait to see what they come out with at the Japan Golf Fair in Feb '19.
Driver: jBEAM Glorious 10.5* + Motore VT 7.0x, 45.5", MCC Plus 4.
HY: Fourteen UT716 16*/21*/26* + Diamana Thump/Tour AD, 40"/41"/42" MCC Plus 4.
Irons: OnOff Forged 6i - gw + Accra Tour Ti Mesh, Superstroke.
Wedges: Miura WMF-06 53*/58*, Black Gold x, Superstroke.
Putter: Rife Barbados island.

I play a super old set of PINGs that I do not like. My coach suggests that a play a "players" cavity iron, so that is what I have been looking at. I like the thin top-line, soft feel, and a little help with off strikes. I am a good ball striker, but I do not mind a little forgiveness ;).

What do you currently have your heart set on? Pretty hard to beat Ian's suggestion of the OnOff 's.

Where can I hit these OnOffs? Do they have a new iron coming out soon?

They should be coming out with a Kuro forget set in the spring of 2019. However, I don't see many changes between the 15 and 17 series of Kuro. Which is a great indication that they struck success with that series.

Where to hit them? Not sure in Utah. That's the only downfall of JDM, not readily available to test. Have to roll the dice

Yeah they do look like really nice irons. Do you know if Club Champion carries this brand? They carry several JDM clubs, but I am not sure if they carry this brand.

I just got the JDM bridgestone Tour B x combo set and they are awesome. the blades in 8,9 & PW are easy to hit and the CBs are easier.

The Bridgestones look very interesting. I saw on here that they have a new cavity coming out soon. I may have to wait to hit that, as it looks very nice.

Stop the madness and just go w Epons!

My Epons had me going from a lousy iron player to a very respectable player. And club champion carries the brand.

Fair enough. Have you tried an OnOff Forged iron, particularly 2011/2013/2015?

$2400 is jacked up resale price.  You can get a set of 4-pw with Modus3 shafts in them for a little more than $1700 directly from OnOff at the moment, but would be surprised if they ship abroad.

I agree that the MB247 look better, but still want to check these out if I make it to Tokyo for a fitting before they sell out.
