The title says it all. I want to hear different peoples opinions. I am going to get fitted for these irons: Mizuno MP18 SC, Titleist 718 AP2, Srixon Z785, and Taylormade P760. What are your thoughts on these irons, and Do you have any others you would recommend? Thanks!

Mizuno will be the softest. Srixon a close second. I imagine the TM will be most forgiving. AP2s are very blade like in their performance. P760 goes very high and straight with DG 105 and 120 shafts.

I really enjoyed my old set of Ping Anser irons. I believe they were the 2011 release but I could be wrong.
I may go back to them once I get fed up w my current irons (WS tour V4).

honestly dont .... But sets are floating around cheap .( relative to their $2k original price ) ..  ..

looks like someone found a dealer close....  check em out .. if you really desire soft dont hit them unless youre ready to buy .. You wont think anything else is soft again..

For this saying srixon, I certainly hope you arenít referring to the 65 series. They feel terrible and clicky when comparing any Bridgestone forging.

Maltby TE forged. You wont get a softer more forgiving CB.

From your list though. The mp18 will be softest. I didnt find the 919T to be soft at all. The 718ap2 are a good middle ground for feel and forgiveness.

Havent hit the 760s.

OP, have you tried the JPX 919 Forged?

For me hitting the 7 iron on the 919 Forged, and the MP-18 SC, I got an average of 5-8 yards more vs. the SC.

Feel-wise, even with the boron infusion, I felt like both were equally as soft.

Not in the P-7. They do have noticeably more in the 6-3. Just depends how much offset bothers you. Guys on tour play full sets as well as just the long irons.

Also, if you’re buying new, these are quite a bit cheaper than the mizuno, Titleist, and TaylorMade options. Not sure about the Srixon.

Can you seriously compare 919Ts in forgiveness to J15 CBs...or even MP-53s???!

For real, those and the 900T are one step away from being blades.

I would believe the majority of guys who have hit these would agree... Not very forgiving. I would actually say that the Apex MB is more forgiving.

I hit a demo P760 and found them to be as soft as the MP18 SCís, and more forgiving. This is going to be a very popular club!

Not even a full step. Shave away that ultra-thin perimeter ring that makes it a so-called "cavity" and what do you really have there? Pretty much looks like a MB/blade to me. (Even so, I think it's a very good looking club.)
