Our league has a end of year Ryder Cup style match and thought I would make up some damascus ball markers. This particular pattern is called Reptilian. It is a Stainless Steel Damascus. Just thought I would share and no, I don't sell them.

I deal with materials like this for my job. I don't make the damascus. It is made by taking two different grades of Stainless Steel (for this example) and folding/forging them together. The folding creates the pattern. Once the material is made, I machine it. At this point it looks like regular SS. Then we put it in battery acid. The acid only reacts to one of the grades. It slowly eats it away which brings out the pattern. We then neutralize the acid and clean it. Next we machined the letters.
