So basically the technology is a lighter shaft, heavier head and counterbalanced grip?

That seems to be the gist of it. Interesting that in some ways this shaft seems the opposite of the Stability Shaft that Barney Adams and friends have come out with. They seem to advocate a heavier, stiffer putter shaft.
[size=3]Ping G400 9 degrees, Ping Tour stiff shaft, 65 grams
Callaway XHot2 Pro 5 wood, 17 degrees, Aldila Tour Blue stiff shaft
Titleist 915F fairway, 21 degrees, Diamana Blue 70 stiff
Srixon 565 4 iron, Nippon 980GH stiff shaft
Adams CMB irons, 5-PW, KBS C Taper regular shafts (110g)
Titleist Vokey SM7 50 degree, F grind, Dynamic Gold S200 shaft
Callaway Mack Daddy 2 54-degree wedge, S grind, DG wedge shaft
Ben Hogan TK wedge, 59 degree, KBS black wedge shaft
TaylorMade TP Chaska putter, sliver, 34 inches

I find that interesting as well. Both the Stability shaft and Nippon shafts had moved toward heavier shafts in putters.

Now we're trying lighter shafts with extra weight on the ends. Hey, whatever works for people. It is funny though.

I've contacted Callaway via email and still haven't gotten a response regarding the ability to use a standard grip of my choice. So in other words it had to be a counter balanced or heavy grip to make this putter work?

This is a great question. I asked the website that cannot be mentioned on here and this was their response.

That's good to hear. So basically the same set up as the original tank models with the weight installed in the butt end, not the grip.

You can use any grip with it. However, if you use a grip that uses a weight inserted in the end, there will be no where for that weight to go.
