Hey guys,

So I lucked into a ticket to Torrey and am looking to make the absolute most out of my trip and need some advice on how to go about it.
First off a little about my situation, I am a 21 year old college student headed into my junior year and working on a major in sports management, but I want to work in the golf industry for sure, and hopefully somewhere in the equipment side of it. I want to talk to whoever I can in the tour vans during the practice rounds at Torrey and see how they got where they are and what I need to do in the immediate future to get my foot in that door. Plus I want to see tour issue stuff haha :partytime2: So anyways I guess I'm asking from you guys is, Do you have any tips on how to talk to the equipment guys? I know its a major and they will be pretty busy and I dont want to step on any toes or get into the way but I want to get some information. Are the guys pretty friendly during the practice rounds and will talk to me? Any tips on what to ask or what to talk about? Anyone know someone on the inside that would talk to a fellow WRXer? Or any other tips or tricks you guys think I should do? Anything would help a ton.

thank you guys in advance

-Ben

Your best chance is on Monday or Tuesday later in the day. The guys in what used to be the countrywide trailer are pretty cool and really friendly for the most part unless it is slammed. Some of the other vans are tougher to crack unless you are with a caddy or a player, especially during majors. I would just approach them and ask if they have a few minutes to talk about what they do. They will either blow you off or give you some time. The LAST thing you want to do is ask for a club....Best of luck with it. Also, do you have a place to stay yet?

OK thats some good info to start with, Yea I dont really plan on asking for anything I was just hoping to catch a peak haha, and also yes I lucked into that as well, I have a place at no cost, which is real great being that I'm in college haha. It should be a great time.

Anyone else with tips please enlighten me.

Thank you again,

-Ben
