But I wouldnít put much stock in your final score as you would never play this way. But itís a great way to practice the longer approach game.

For under 5500 yards, another way is to pick "one" mid or long iron, and PW, SW, and LW and putter. The aforementioned puts a premium on making sure whichever club is chosen to use off the tee; I had better nut it as well as the second club and so on. It's a lot of fun.

A variation of that could be tee off with driver or 3 wood. Then drop a ball 50 yards directly behind in the same landing situation. Ex: driver hit in left rough equals drop 50 yards back in rough. Thiscway you still have to hit full tee shots and they influence your longer approach shots.
