You will probably feel that the Aldila shaft is too sloppy, after having found success with the blue!

It is a hard shaft to switch out. Perhaps something that will give YOU a bit more kick is what you are looking for?

If you find it, let us know! I haven't been able to find a replacement.

I´m thinking of putting a Blue R-flex in my Titleist 907 D2. Will it play somewhere in betweeen R- an S-flex fully inserted in the bore-thru??? By the way it´s the standard shaft with 3,5" PTS and not ordered through Titleist.

whats the diff between the Graffalloy Blue Stiff and the Graffalloy Blue Tour Stiff?

Nobody is paying attention to your question, because "the blue" is considered old technology.
The tour stiff, has lower torque and is stiffer tipped. Unless you have great club head speed and really load it correctly,  this will feel like a telephone pole.


When I am swinging really well, I always question why I am wasting time thinking of changing my set up! Like today! Mizuno MP001 400cc 9* Grafalloy Blue S.
The  problem is when I am not swinging my best.....I have to work too hard.

In looking for higher launch and softer tip, I was surprised by receiving a present today! See my  signature below.
This is the opposite of what I have been playing for 5 years. I can now swing smooth, much less effort and gain greater carry, less spin and more roll.
This aging former monster is far happier now!

What about the side spin though. When those monster instincts take over, that softer tip could produce
some humongous hooks and slices. The Cally FT-3 was always a hooking machine for me.

the "tour" Blues are heavier, 75g vs 63g, and "higher torque, about 4 I think to 2.8 for the regular Blue.

Used to love my Graf Blue Stiff in old Titliest 983k, is this full bore?

I've got a Graf Blue X stiff to try in my R11, feels great, really low which i like, prob to low though and it can drift of a little right, which i dont mind when im swinging well i can eliminate the left side of the course

Do you think its to stiff for me and i should try a Graf Blue Stiff in my R11???

What would you guys say is the swingspeed range for stiff vs. X?  The first post said 100-110 for the stiff but 105-115 for the X.  I am looking for low spin so I thought I could go with the X which I might squeak into the low range of that but I don't want to be unable to turn it over.  I am looking at one in a 983k 8.5.  Sound like a nice low spin option?  I like that the 983k has some draw bias (which is my normal swing but it should give me a repeatable ballflight, low draw every time would be great)  What do we think?  can a 105 guy (albeit rather aggressive with the transition) play the X?

I have the Blue in stiff in my R11s, though it has been tipped 1/2" so I'm not sure if that plays true to flex in an R11 adaptor.  Either way, I've swung a stiff non tipped blue and an x-stiff.  I would say anything above 113mph is good for a xstiff, but again that will depend on the transition.  I say the stiff can go up to 111 mph...the blue is beast of a shaft.

why is this considered old technology? i just bought one to pair with a fast 12 ls because all the mainstream options offer too much spin for me  will i be disappointed since this is old now?

also cant decide on shaft length  any suggestions? i am 6 foot 5 inches tall and play a stock nike at 45.75 now, so i am thinking of going with 45.5. thoughts?

You will not be disappointed with the Blue.Grafalloy had to use ultra high modulus graphite fibres in it's construction to make it so light but stable.It was initially built as a prototype for strong golfers and is a great shaft.45.5" should be a good fit.

I used to swing a Nike SQ 460 w a X Stiff Blue and loveddd it, after trying new shafts over last couple years I went back to the same setup only with a Stiff instead of XS and even my buddies who I play with say my tee game is wayyy better...the control and distance is amazinggg. Luv this shaft, and I just ordered the newer version the WHITE Blue which is supposed to have the same charecteristics as the orig with new technology. I got a Stiff in that and will be throwing it in a Nike VR Tour head. Huge fan of the Blue

I have always loved this shaft and I am wanting to reshaft my 910 D3 and 910 F with this shaft. I currently have Proforce V2 shafts in both of them at the moment and they go too high with way too much spin! How much lower launch and spin would you say the Grafalloy Blue would be?

I have G-Blue stiff shaft in my R11. Prob not going anywhere anytime soon.

Man I was excited to see people still reviewing and using this shaft, I honestly thought it may have gone back to the early 2000's without any newer responses. I appear to be in the same boat as some of you guys though in that I keep finding myself tempted to get it back in play. I still have 510tp with the blue in it that I put back in the bag from time to time. Not only does it perform well, but I always thought it was one of the best shafts to look at. Great shaft, that still performs well. I would definitely argue best bang for your buck with all the new $$ exotic options.
