First post on GolfWRX, but just had to say how impressed I am with the Ci7.  Good feel, great forgiveness and fantastic price!  You can find them for around $300.

edit - forgot to mention that the gap wedge is rubbish.  Looks like a bent spatula... I use a 48* sand wedge in place of it.

I've had mine for 2 weeks and love 'em....Very nice feedback for a cast club and about as easy to hit as anything out there without appearing to shovel-like....I agree that the GW looks a bit clunky but it is a dart thrower for me...My only other issues are the grips (terrible with any kind of moisture) and they almost seem a bit oversize so I'm changing them out this week.....I also don't like all the chrome on these things so I took to them with a scotchbrite pad and a little elbow grease to give them a satin look........They look MUCH better....A steal at their current price....

I just ordered a set of graphite Ci7's; 4-GW and found a SW on ebay.  Hope to have them before Labor Day weekend.

I don't have a handicap, but I would definitely be considered high handicapper.  Twenty years away from the game and playing in the 100 range.  I'm 58.

Most of the Ci7 reviews and feedback is aimed at low-mid handicappers so I'm not sure if I am getting too much to handle.  I hit a Di7 iron at a local shop and it felt good but I didn't like the offset and wide sole.  The Di9's look even closer to the "Super-SGI" irons I picked up when I first got back into the game.

I have recently hit a some balls with my old 70's low profile cast clubs and had better control, but they are a little too harsh and the shots a little short.  But I figure if I can hit my old clubs straight, how tough can these be.

Since I'm the high man here, I'll post back afer I've had enough time with the Ci7's.

I just ordered mine also based on the rave reviews of fellow golfers here. I know I have to demo clubs before buying, but at $250 shipped, there's very little to lose, I guess.

I would not post a follow-up if I like them, but will surely come back and complain if I don't like'em. :D

Because Ci7's are now at low prices out there on eBay and other golf sites, I figured I'd leave a quick initial impression from a not-so-great golfer.

Quick reference point… I 'm 58. I played a lot of golf in late 70's to mid 80's. When we started having kids I hardly played at all. Now those kids are playing and I decided to join them. Picked up a cheap set of used Pinseeker Bombshells in senior flex. Initially with a slow swing just out of mothballs they hit straight, a bit short, but were stupid easy to hit. When my swing improved, the flex, lack of distance, extreme offset, draw bias, and the lack of confidence where the ball was going got me to re-think my old clubs from the 70's. Great reviews on the Ci7's and give-away prices got me to try these sight unseen. My wife is trying to play again so she has the Pinseekers.

Got the Ci7's today and the heads look fabulous. I like the looks so much more than the Di7's. The finish on the UST shaft doesn't feel very smooth and they do look a little cheesy, but they do work. The shafts are made in Bangladesh, which raised an eyebrow; however, I imagine George Harrison would have been happy to hear they are making high tech products.

Took a 7 iron down to the school and hit some limited flight golf balls. Not a great way to assess them, but nice trajectory and good "limited flight" distance. I love the setup with less offset.

I couldn't resist the temptation to run down to the local lighted par 3 with our sons; only used 2 clubs from tee. I've never been a long hitter, but the Ci7's hit long; and I'll have to dial them in. I don't have a SW yet, but the irons seem a little too hot around the greens compared to my old set, I'll get used that or get different wedges.

The cheesy looking regular flex graphite shafts work really well and feel solid. I played with a hard Top Flite ball and didn't get any stinging on missed shots. They probably mute too much for some people, but they are just right for me. This was a concern and my main reason for going with graphite. I have read that steel provides more of the "negative" feedback on miss-hits.

I've been away from the game for over 20 years, learned to play with old technology, and I have hardly used them, so this may not be truly objective, but I can't possibly see how a high handicapper would have any problems with Ci7's. They go straight, long, feel solid, forgiving, and they are cheap.

I recently bought a set of Ci7 irons (4-pw - 2008) on eBay for less than $100, to be used as my irons during the winter months in Pittsburgh. My summer clubs are Ping i3+ (2003) and my current winter clubs are Hogan Edge (1990).  After three rounds I did not find the Wilson Staff irons to be quite as accurate or have the same feel as my current favorites, so now they sit in the basement waiting for the snow to thaw and get a second chance.
