Shooting 70’s and having a good junior golfer at the same time can be done. Its tough but no way in hell am I giving up the game anytime soon lol.  People always ask if I play or practice with my son and right now I dont.  Im looking forward to the day he kicks my a** though.

Yeah, call me selfish, but half the reason I pushed my daughter to play is to punch my own ticket to go out and hit balls.

See that is how it starts you don't practice and in a few years you end up like the rest of us.

A bit off topic, but I'm in Chicago with my daughter for the Western Women's Am.  She shot 73-80 and missed the match play cut (124 players for 32 match play spots).

I'd usually be disappointed,  but her college teammate missed also but is a member of Medinah CC, so we'll be playing and hanging there today and tomorrow. 😁

I would usually like this post but I'm a bit jealous. Enjoy!

I picked up the clubs yesterday for the second time since last August.  Was pleasantly surprised to shoot a 45 on 9 holes.  Had a great time with the kid even though he out drove me and put a whipping on me.

Luckily for me, I have to keep my game sharp for work.  If my son isn't playing or practicing then I am.  I'll never get close to scratch again, but being an low mid single digit index isn't so bad.  :superman:
