IMO the only direct to consumer golf ball that will be around in 5 years will be Snell and it will be available mainstream not just online. I don't mean to crap on the others (I currentlyplay a Cut Ball) but it's just my opinion.

^ I think Vice will definitely be around. There is a ton of buzz about them and their balls are decent.

I definitely think they'll stick around. They make a good value product. It's gotten gold on the Golf Digest Hot List the last two years. That gets people's attention.

They are somewhat regularly out of stock on the neon lime balls because their supplier can't keep up with demand.

Vice knows their target demographic: millennials. They advertise VERY hard on social media. My Facebook and IG are littered with Vice ads. They sponsor people like Eric Anders Lang. The cool, hip, trendy new wave of golfers aged 16-30. The bright colors help, the cheap personalization. I think they'll stick around for a good time. I've heard that they get a bit of play on the smaller tours too.

I'm not sure.  What are they pricing their balls at and how many dozen would you have to buy? Amazon currently has $30 2016 B330s and 2017 Chrome Soft X.  And you only have to buy a dozen.  Free shipping.

I think the big question for Vice in the future are issues related to IP. To my knowledge, Vice doesn't design their balls. That's handle via a third-party.

In many ways, Vice is simply a middle-man. They brand, market and distribute the balls, but do not design and produce them.

I would bet they have some say in the design. I know that they just softened up their 'Tour' ball because the compression was around 90 and the feedback they were getting was it was too hard (also - soft is IN right now). I believe it's now around 60.

whats in the bag?
Cobra f8+ cut 1"
Cobra F7 fairway
Srixon z355
Cleveland 48 wedge
Ping 54 wedge
Ping 58 ES wedge
TM Soto putter

I disagree.  They market way more than just balls, which helps them to gain more fans.  Their hats are VERY high quality and their gloves are solid.  Now they've added tees (inexpensive and colorful) to go with the other accessories that they already been selling and you have a solid company.  Not just a golf ball distributor.
