I got my Garmin Z80.

I haven't yet used it on course, but so far all I see are usability issues.

The case is VERY snug, as in... it is hard to even get the range finder in the case. This makes pulling it out and putting it back in the case multiple times a round very impractical.

But here is the catch. There are no covers for the from or back optics, and they would 100% get scratched if you just placed them in the cart compartments or even in a bag pocket that is not velour (or like material).

I thought I would buy a "Stick It". Unfortunately the "Stick It" covers the top buttons. If you fasten it snugly like you are supposed to, it depresses the buttons, making it non-functional. If you don't tighten it snugly, you stand the chance of $600 crashing down and breaking.

So.... does anyone have a "Stick It" alternative. Preferably a solution that is like the "Stick It', but like a disc that sticks to the side of the Z80, with a really strong adhesive and a really strong magnet.

Mine gets tossed all over the place, falls out of the cart once a round, thrown on the ground, etc.  Nary a scratch.  But yeah, as above, alot of people use the clips as well.

I can’t get behind the strap - Thus bought a couple rubberized 10lbs neodymium magnets from KJmagnetics for a few dollars. Epoxied on magnet to the side of my rangefinder and added a couple wraps of electrical tape for extra durability. Used the other magnets on my speaker again with a few wraps for additional security. These hold incredibly well on the cart front pillars at speed and over rough terrain. Nice and streamlined too as the magnets are only a couple millimeters in thickness.
