Now that Titleist discontinued the NXT Tour I'm trying to figure out which golf ball has similar characteristics or a ball in a similar catagory?

Haven’t played a NXT model in a looong time. But, I can say the Q-Star Tour is a hell of a ball, and wouldn’t hesitate to play it. Good buy also right now, as Srixon is selling them at $10/dozen.

The Q-Star Tour is $20/doz. Still a great deal though.

Project A is significantly better. Whole different class of ball.
Q star gets all kinds of undeserved cred bc of how good the z star is.

For a three piece non-urethane to compete against the NXT Tour I would look to the Top Flite Gamer Soft. A high performing value ball.

For urethane the first gen (a) had a lot of driver spin. I think it's better now but I'm still spooked by it. I liked the Q Star Tour initially but it feels hard and heavy to me these days.

I've moved on to the Bridgestone RXS and am very pleased. Am working thru two dozen and will buy more. Very durable in addition to good stopping power and feel.

Z Star is also $20 through this weekend.  Excellent ball, urethane, soft.

I like the XV.  I just bought 5 dozen XV’s today at GG to add to the 12 dozen I bought earlier this year. I probably should have bought more.  I’ll regret it when I run out.
