Anyone else see Phil warming up on the chipping green with Truvis balls on golf Channel? Is he making a switch for US Open, or just using it to see the spin for practice?

Are those things approved for play?

BTW, is Phil still dressing like an accountant on casual day?

He could be trying to focus on ball spin?? Highly doubt he's putting a new ball in play right before the Open.

Yes, they're approved. Other pros have played them.

It wouldn't be a new ball but I agree that he is just using it for practice to watch how it is spinning much better,

Not a new ball but it looks...distracting??

Maybe he plans on dumping a few drives in the fescue and wants to make sure he can find it??? :D :D

I'm beginning to like Phil more these days, his consistency over the years has been impressive. I can't say all his decisions have been the right ones, but he's the one making them and he has a right to make his own. It would really be sort of cool to see him in contention Sunday at the USO.

First the shirt, now the ball......someone please give Phil the attention he is seeking.  Next thing you know he will be making comments about "back stopping" to the press.........

It looked black & white from what I saw. Haven't seen that colorway yet. I've seen a bunch of different versions (Crossfield, Aussie, US Open red/white/blue, pink Morgan Pressel, etc).

I play the retail red/white and yellow/black sometimes and both are really hard to find in the rough but I love the visual feedback chipping and putting with them.
