I have two Camerons that I go back and forth on gaming. One is a Tei3 Newport 2, the other is a AOP Newport 2. I putt equally well with each, both lead taped up to desired head weight. So I know this is kinda lame to ask others, but I really am having a hard time sticking to just one. I KNOW I am asking a bunch of hoes to choose just ONE, but...

If you had to take just one which would you take to the course?

IMO nothing quite beats a milled carbon head. Just put my BOS-refinished Mil-Spec in play and she's a beauty. AOP Newport all the way!

I would keep rotating them. I wouldn't want to give one a false sense of security!

I'm done with Camerons, but I'd go for the AOP.

Was just kidding around - I am currently gaming an X7.

Bettinardi makes great sticks. I had one just before I moved to the Scotty and I kind of miss it.

Sell 'em both and buy a third.

Putters are like starting quarterbacks. If you have 2, you don't have any.

I am a big BETTINARDI fan and just got the 2018 bb1 and love it compared to my older modeled bb8 flow neck but I love the looks of the tei3 I’ve always wanted to try one but have never felt the urge to spend a ton on one. I would definitely game the tei3 on looks alone if you putt the same with both

Same here. I have tried a bunch of Scotty putters and don't like them as much as the bettis.

Was putting around recently with the 2018 BB1 and damn did it feel good.

But perhaps we can stay on subject, would love to hear some more putter enthusiasts opinions.

I like the feel of the insert on the Tei3.  My go to is one of my Tei3 putters or a putter with a GSS Insert.

Wow, this thread got opened to more Cameron venting.  Seems strange since you're comparing 2 legendary Scottys.  I don't have any experience with the AOP but can say the tei3 is the best putter I've ever used.  I went through quite a few in search of the feel and feedback of my tei3.  It's not the softest, heavy (by today's standards) or most exciting in some cases, but the feel it gives is second to none.

To answer your question, whichever gives the truest roll I'd go with.  If that doesn't work, do drills from inside 10' for a couple days and whichever wins is your gamer.  Keep the other.  If you struggle at some point, that alternative putter may offer a good mental recharge.

I have a tour dot pro platinum which is similar to the AOP
Frankly I like the feel of the carbon steel in direct contact with ball for feel
I had a button back
And yes sooooo soft and Brooks Koepka games one too boot
But.....
I feel insert get in the way of feel
And I am a feel putter
I even had GSS
Yes softer but not as soft as carbon steel
The PP
Is probably the best due to the finish
Also some Newport 2z donít have the tri sole
And a different cavity
Then the hosel
Donít get me started
