I received a few pictures showing the Matrix / LA Golf Shafts shaft options from someone I know, he said to go ahead and post them. I figured others might be interested in seeing these...

I wish they'd stop marketing the white tie as high launch low spin. I kind of wish all shaft OEMs would stop labeling their products via launch and spin all together actually. My old Red Tie launched lower and spun lower than my black tie did, both in 70X.

Rant over, but am looking forward to what the TP line brings under new ownership.

In some ways, shafts like the black tie have a following that makes it worth keeping the name.

In general though I don't think this will help Matrix increase any of the lackluster market share they had before.

Although they somehow got Tiger playing one of their shafts for about 3 weeks. Sadly it was their most expensive shaft that's not attainable by us 9-5ers

Agree.  Mitsu continues to dominate and it looks like the only difference for these shafts is they removed the name matrix and paint LAGP.  Kinda lame and why bother when these lines of shafts have been recycled year after year from matrix.  After people left that company years ago innovation just stopped.

Not a fan of the graphics, and I would have loved it if they had the TPHDe in a heavier weight class for fairways (although releasing the 8 is great), but overall promising.

Give it some time to develop new offering. These things take time... Besides, aren't they working with pros on THEIR shafts first?

The Red Ties since the "3" series were weird shafts IMO....horrible feel & even worse performance.

Guys, nothing to panic about. The company was bankrupt in March and pretty much had to start again from the ground up. These are the tried and true Matrix shafts with updated paint jobs and supposedly some better materials since they are new production shafts and not just resprayed blanks or old inventory. They’ve hired and are still hiring top talent to produce new, from the ground up shafts. It just takes time. If you read up about the new owner and his background with his prior companies like Marucci bats and some of his previous professional accomplishments, you’ll know Matrix is in good hands. In the world of today, now, right this second, we are all going to have to wait a little bit longer but the wait will be worth it. These shafts are bridge and will help them establish a tour presence again because tour players love these profiles. Many are still playing them actually. Soon boys, soon!

So far these look like the same "recipes" and doubt they kept any designers to develop new products.

Seriously? I expected to see an entirely new innovative line with new materials, graphics, names, etc. Pretty disappointing to just recyle the shafts from a company that hasn't innovated anything in a decade. They might as well went back to 2005 and started there. At least return to greatness and not mediocrity.

Problem is the main guy that created major problems for the brand was kept on board and in a higher position then he was in before.  I"m not kidding.  In any case I'm interested to see what they do with the custom shaft idea but the repaint job on existing inventory is hilariously bad.

Really? I know of one individual in that company who's been there for over many years who I don't honestly think would get another job in the industry if let go. I won't name names but cleaning house ENTIRELY should have been priority #1 over there. I know my boss won't accept them as a client as long as he's there. That's what a cancer the guy is. He helped in a big way to take a company that was considered cutting edge to total mediocrity in about 3-4 years.

I don't know. Taking current shafts and selling them as LA Shafts seems like a smart business move to generate some money flow and get people looking/talking about the company while you design new ones. I doubt it only takes 3 months to develop and test a new profile?

Wish i was kidding.  To make your first impression this way tells me the buyer/s have no idea what occurred in the industry with Matrix.

Well I've completely lost interest now.  Well done. This has honestly saved me money so I'm pretty happy.  I used to be a huge fan of the Matrix products, but that was years ago.  I was hoping this was going to be a new life for them with some cutting edge tech and advancements, sadly nope.

I'm happy to be stick with MRC shafts.  Tried and true.

So far these look like the same "recipes" and doubt they kept any designers to develop new products.

Wish i was kidding.  To make your first impression this way tells me the buyer/s have no idea what occurred in the industry with Matrix.

I'd have to agree. There's a reason Matrix went bankrupt and it wasn't because the products are amazing and on the cutting edge of modern shaft tech. They should have cleaned house entirely, hired that JC guy back, and took a year or so to develop new products, profiles, and constructions and come out super strong. I'd like to see what that guy could do with a big r&d budget, staff and marketing budget again.

I would have liked to see that as well.  Fortunately JC is working with Solinco and has a lot at his disposal and coming out with some great products this year with Veylix as well as Xphlexxx's shafts that he makes for Rob.

If you're going to do all that why even bother buying Matrix?

Just like everyone else here, extremely surprised they just came out with the same names.  Not sure if they are in fact the same as the old ones, but I don’t see this creating much buzz.  Really would have liked to see them come out the gate with completely new lines as the old ones just seem stale.

Oh they are, scrape and paint job.  What do you think they did with the leftover inventory?  Tossed it in the trash?
