Very disappointed to be asking this question, because I really like the performance of the CTaper Lite. Really like it.

But over the past month, Iíve had two shafts dent in mysterious ways (mid shaft dents, no idea how that could happen). If this persists...Iíve got to find a new model to love.

Is there a similar Steelfiber?

Anything else with similar characteristics?

Wow.  I’ve used C-taper lites for two years.  Never had anything like that happen.

I too have been using CTL for just on two years & never had any issues, & I'm a divot taker too, stunning performers & still look as good as new, well except for the stickers that get rubbed to shreds in & out the bag.
I've been through a good few shafts & none perform like these, hope OP finds what his looking for.

I typically play PXI 6.5 but just got a new set with CTL S. They don't feel identical but they perform very similarly and have similar weights. For me, they are far more anti-left than the DG style shaft without the boardiness of PX or CT. I get good numbers with PX and CT but I hate the feel. The extra stiffness and weight tend cause problems in the consistency of my transition. The lighterweight versions of these shafts seem to work quite well.

If you really want to move away from CTL's and also KBS, then the Modus or the PX LZ would be good choices.  Like the previous posters, I have had CTL's in 2 different sets and never an issue.

Damn man, that blows. I just switched to CTLs recently too. Thankfully no problems yet but are you sure it’s not a bag issue? Or somehow someway you’re storing them or better yet a pissed off wife l? Lol.

I have C Taper Lite 105s in my JPX 900 Tours and can swap sets with the following shafts without feeling 'different' (YMMV):
Ping CFS Regular, Project X95 5.5, Project X PXi 5.5

If you play the 110s or the 115s maybe the equivalent of those would work for you.
I like lighter regular/reg plus shafts in my irons for whatever reason, while playing stiff in hybrids and woods.
Tried a bunch of composite/graphite shafts Steelfibers, Fujikuras, USTs, and none I could easily swap in/out.

"I don't agree 100% with your analysis.  Yes, it's nice to hole out, which I did twice during last weeks game, but didn't need either to win those holes or the match.   All that was needed was a tap in to win each hole.  Of course, I was aiming from 20yds and 15yds with the intent to put the ball in the hole, but the expectation was tap-ins." I also liked the C-Tapers, but the durability was abysmal.
Mine did bent to a visible degree at the hosel, or even broke at the hosel.

Since I switched to the Nippon Modus 120 I have a even better feeling shaft, and no issues.

You may also try the Modus 105.
