I ordered a couple item from a pretty big eBay retailer. They typically ship me items priority mail. On the auction the shipping option says priority mail. They end up shipping UPS. Obviously the shipping time is a pretty big difference between ups and priority. The retailer is pretty big and hasn’t responded when I inquired about the shipping issue. Would you leave any negative or neutral feedback?

if you use them often why would you want to leave negative feedback? If they simply sent it a different method this time and you still got it, maybe ask them next time to confirm the shipping  method? I don't think it's a good idea to take a swipe at a retailer you have used on a few occasions if you plan on using them again.

Because I paid for priority shipping and it was sent UPS

No. I paid $9.99 shipping for each (two) items

Oh and adding insult to injury, I paid $9.99 shipping on both items so $19.98 total for shipping. Priority shipping is the expedited service in their auction and they shipped both items together ups ground

what is the difference 2-3 days?

to me if I received the item as described and expected does not merit a negative or neutral feedback.

Because it would have been here today for a scramble I was going to play in Saturday. Now it’s going to be here on Tuesday. That’s the difference.

Oh and I paid separate shipping on each item as they don’t combine shipping...but actually combined shipping to save money...with a cheaper service than what they said they’d ship.

If it was free shipping I’d be mildly irritated. If it was combined shipping and I still paid separately each item but still priority even a bit more irritated. But paying for priority twice and getting ups ground for one shipment is getting into obnoxious territory.

If they shipped via UPS I highly doubt it was cheaper than USPS.

I think it's reasonable to reach out to the seller and point out the change in shipping method (to a slower method -- I suspect you'd have no issue with UPS 2nd Day Air) kept you from having the club by when you were expecting it and that you paid two shipping fees for what certainly cost them less than 2x their standard shipping cost to ship.

What's the difference between priority and regular shipping for the seller? I think I'd ask for at least that back (x2). If they say they don't combine shipping there's probably not much to be done there, but I don't think there's any harm in pointing it out. Ultimately you got the item in a reasonable (though not priority) time so I don't think I'd ask for much past the difference in shipping cost.

I would use the "ask seller a question" option on Ebay to express your dissatisfaction. Being willing to pay $19.98 for Priority Mail that gets there in 2-3 days is a lot different than being willing to pay $19.98 shipping for UPS ground that takes forever it seems.

Hopefully it was just an honest mistake and they'll make it right by refunding one of your shipping charges. I don't mind if they occasionally mess up and send with the wrong service if it's cheap or free shipping, but if I'm paying the expedited shipping charge+ not combining the 2 purchases shipping charges, I expect the seller to send them with the method I paid for.

well keep in mind USPS priority is not guaranteed two or three days, sometimes will take them 4/5 days to deliver. Ebay will guaranteed the delivery date but that is still up to USPS to deliver.

When you ask them about the different method than listed let them know you have purchased from them in the past and was happy but this time they dropped the ball. Tell them you will think twice before you order from them again and will be watching other sellers. Problem if they are a big seller they may not care!

I wouldn't leave any feedback until I reached out to them first to explain the issue/concern...  It's most likely a simple mistake on their end.  I don't think there is anything wrong with you requesting to be compensated on the S&H cost though.

I agree with what most posters are saying, but...I had an issue with counterfeit grips a while back that the seller would not respond to.  After multiple attempts to contact the seller and working through ebay, the ONLY way I could get a response from the guy was posting negative feedback.  Then he offered to take the grips back and refund my money.
