Tiger and Phil shouldn't even be in the discussion at this point.  Phil just had a miserable showing at the Players.  Woods hasn't won and has only come close to winning once this season.

If you want the best so far this year just go look at the FedEx points list and grab the name at the top.

I think there are a lot who feel that the #1 ranked player (using the OWGR two year period) is not always the player currently playing the best. Think of this more as 2018 POY to date.

FEC started last year and doesn't included Euro Tour events (like the one Rahm won the week after the Masters)

I fully agree regarding Tiger. He has had a good comeback and played nicely, but not worthy of top 10 year to date. I certainly didn't vote for him, but others have.

Phil certainly hasn't been the best either, but an argument can be made that he is top 6 this year (and top 2 the past 25 years)

I voted for Day (highest OWGR points per event in 2018), but arguments could be made for Bubba (highest total OWGR points earned in 2018) and Reed (only major winner & 2nd in total OWGR points for 2018) as well.

Another vote for Day. Strong start to the year... I’ll be surprised this year if he’s not top 5 in points going into the FedEx Cup Playoffs

I was going to vote Mark Leishman, He seems to always be in the top ten playing for the win until I realized he has yet to in this year.
I guess J. Thomas so far.
