Golfers are definitely a hardy bunch of folks. It takes a lot to keep them off the course. Haha. This is from an article on the Kilauea Volcano.

Those courses are like $300 to play, plus $800 a night rooms, and $2000 flights. Bet your a** no act of god will stop someone from finishing their round!

They are taking chances for their own well being, I'm glade.

Poisonous gas from the eruption could cause serious illness and/or death, and the wind direction could change in a heart beat without warning.  Being miles away is no guaranty away from danger.  I'm not one of the thrill seekers and that's exactly why we buy travel insurance.

Volcanos, lightning, hurricanes, alligators, snakes, bugs, lions, tigers, elephants, kangaroos, monkeys, birds, dogs, goats, mosquitos, crazy people, etc. are only a few of the hazards golfers face.

Rarely a dull moment.
